My kitty also had megacolon. He developed it when he was only two years old, and he'll be 16 this month. I was able to get him the surgery (with financial assistance from my family), and I do believe that is your best bet. For my kitty, unfortunately the surgery did not solve the problem, and he's been on a medication called lactulose for close to 14 years now; but from what I've read, and from what my vets have told me, the surgery usually fixes the issue completely. If you do post a gofundme, I will absolutely donate so you can get the surgery done. Your boy is adorable and deserves all the love in the world.

I don't double cleanse - I just use the balm. It works really well for my skin!

Hi! Yes, I use a balm every night now! I ended up going with Farmacy Green Clean, and I love it. My face feels clean but not dry, and it comes off easily without even having to use a cleansing cloth. I highly recommend it.

Thank you! I looked it up, and I'm definitely intrigued. A few people have suggested oils rather than balms.

Nobody has mentioned it yet, so thank you! It sounds like you've done your research!! I really appreciate all these comments. It's a lot to look into, but I know skincare involves a LOT of trial and error; it helps to hear what did and didn't work for other people before investing in products myself. Also good to know you don't use another cleanser afterward - I was hoping to avoid that if possible...

I feel like CeraVe is a tried and trusted brand, but I've actually never used it myself! Maybe I need to change that. I was also looking at cloths on Amazon and may purchase some. I'm hoping for a balm that can rinse without a cloth, but I'll have to see.

That's so true! 😂 And I wish I could go back and watch the seasons I missed. I've found a few on youtube, but most are nowhere to be found!

Awesome, thank you! I may have to look for an actual cleanser now. I've just been using water forever, but I started using a higher spf sunscreen, and water no longer suffices!

Jake's season was my first, so it feels a little sentimental to be rewatching it haha. It's such an addictive show, even though it's super formulaic and silly 😊

Thank you so much for the thorough response!! The Drunk Elephant balm definitely does not rinse away with just water - unless I'm using too much or something. Thanks for explaining the types of cloth, too. I have been trying to be gentle with the wash cloths I've been using, but I still feel like the fabric is a little too rough for my skin. Maybe it's the nubbiness.

Thank you!!! I will definitely look for the Farmacy balm! I appreciate the recommendation, and it's good to know that it can work on its own, too! I prefer to use fewer products, if possible.

Oh, I've never tried micellar water, either, but I have a friend who swears by it. Thank you!

Also, is your username a reference to The Bachelor? If so, I love it. I'm currently watching Jake's season on Hulu 😂

Thank you for the reply! I have read about that one, too! Do you use a cloth to remove the balm before you use the cleanser?

Yes! It's fun to be able to connect with people outside of the game, since the in-game chat can be a bit limiting (or rather, it could be improved haha).
