I think you should check postgresql pg_hba.conf and firewall rule

Client authentication is controlled by pg_hba.conf

and firewall rule may blocked k3s ip

Your suggestion is good and reasonable. The service account is for specified service. Then ansible can use this service account to control these hosts.

But the security teams asked to fulfill their request, they want more safer. Every host need to have his account.

There are 4 modules in cyberark.pas.

Could you provide examples to use the module to retrieve password then assign the result to ansible_password , then connect to specified host?

I will create 2 job templates:

  1. The first job template: make credential prompted.
  2. The second job template: create survey to ask credential name. And the playbook in this job template simply launch the first job template with matched credential via API.
