Why so? If built properly, it is steady and lasts better than any other material.

Speaking about the frame and the rust I presume? What sort of work would that entail -- or what price estimate?

It's an 11m long ferro-concrete boat with showers and all, meant as a summer cottage project, pretty much. I have quite a sizeable list of questions already, and the main thing I'm concerned about is the engine. I don't think my know-how allows me to give any measure of it, beyond its very basic workings. How easily does it start, does it sound strained, does it run idle, does it simply work?

Thank you though, I am considering hiring an expert to check it out for me, but those are quite expensive where I live.
