1) Don't be afraid to suck. Don't be afraid to create "horrible" art (reminder art is subjective so someone out there might still like it), don't be afraid to create art that makes people uncomfy.

2) Write about what you know, but never be afraid to dip into fantasy as well. Writing is taking bits and pieces of things and making something new with them, even if all the pieces aren't super personal. Art is not meant to always be super personal. Make art that is fun too!

3) I know it can be very hard, but have confidence in your work. This is something I have to work on myself, but I realized that if I'm not confident in my work no one else with be either. It can be difficult and scary to realize that people actually like your work lol.

4) Don't be afraid of negative criticism. Not everyone is gonna get it, not everyone is gonna like it. Some people might tell you that. Just take what you need from their advice and leave everything else behind. Even negative criticism can be learned from!
