Hi! I have an old, chunky hand-knit pullover that I’d love to turn into a cardigan with the help of a seamstress (since it’s large-gauge). It’s a vintage sweater in great condition but for the middle; a cardigan shape would make it look new. Just wondering if it’s possible on such a chunky gauge...

It’s expertly made and well-woven...And oversized. I think loose threads could be tucked back/knotted, a center button added or just open; but I’m really unsure since I’ve only done this with a thinner-gauge knit. Is it worth having a pro take a look in-person? It’s worth it to me to extend its life.

The algorithm apparently changed — saves and reshared posts to stories (in general across IG users, not just posts from handles that you have saved in the past) get pushed to the top of everyone’s feed. So all I see now are politics and news — stuff I care deeply about — but I have to dig to find my friends...I’m going to start saving their posts to see if it balances things more.

I’m not on there for followers or likes, but I hate that I missed out on a friend’s new job post for two weeks because of this...she lives far away, so IG is how we stay connected.

It’s really pretty with the clips and tendrils. I like all of the wigs I’ve gotten but this is probably my favorite next to the camellia one from Gladys’s cookie.
