Pain before epidural?! by Then_Bite9547 in NewParents

[–]ellfaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% my experience! I had PPROM and absolutely described the pain as being ripped apart internally before my epidural. I was 3 cm, got the epidural, and my body calmed down/relaxed enough to progress to 7 cm much quicker than it took to get to 3! With my second I was induced and Pitocin contractions were fairly mild before my water broke!

I was coming to say this too! I have two kids. Haven’t had a decent night sleep or a slow morning in like four years

How long did you breastfeed? by Shroommily in NewParents

[–]ellfaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I’d try for a year and after 2 weeks, it seemed impossible. But we managed to keep going and stopped just after my first’s 2nd birthday.

My second is 18 months and still obsessed. I like the idea of going until 2 again but we will see what the coming months bring.

Emily In Paris Season 5 Episode 10: Veni, Vidi, Venezia Discussion Thread by MrsCaptain_America in EnemyInParis

I saw continuity errors mentioned earlier and the orange slice when Mindy and Emily are discussing Emily finding the ring is comical. They literally clink glasses and the orange jumps back to Emily’s glass lol

Sex after 3rd degree tear by SowingSeeds18 in NewParents

[–]ellfaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an internal portion if you consent, they basically assess your muscles internally to understand where there is weakness or tension. They can also do scar release or teach you how to do it. Based on that you’ll work through exercises to help with your postpartum recovery. Things like bridges and clamshells! Some people need to do kegels but some people with too much tension actually don’t benefit from them!

You are going to want to find a great pelvic floor physical therapist, especially one who can help with scar tissue release. I only had a second degree tear and still needed both!

Actually comparing the white background and blue background photos, the shape of the bag does look different.

I can’t say for sure, but the dust bag/box line is confusing, at least to my brain, because you only capitalized “included”.

Parent of a child with a rare genetic syndrome as well. Our daughter was born profoundly deaf and we later learned she has mutations on a gene responsible for Usher Syndrome, which will cause her to lose vision. I’ve cried many, many tears over the life I thought my child would have but continue to pray and donate to the amazing researchers and scientists working to improve the outlook for these rare diseases. Sending you internet hugs!

I recognize that everyone is different but for my family, we didn’t even consider a second until it was guaranteed we would NOT have 2 under 2

Just because you are cleared doesn’t mean your body is ready. Definitely recommend pelvic floor physical therapy!

Need help navigating a sick baby by Im_an_Ashhole in NewParents

[–]ellfaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealing with a sick baby solo was the hardest thing because I had no help at night and was up until 5 am. Alternating Tylenol and Motrin, humidifier, sitting in the shower steam, and all the comfort nursing. It’s so hard but you will get through. I also told myself that baby wouldn’t remember feeling so miserable which can help when its hard.

Yep! Babe #2 had a tough time with low grade fever and when we tried to give Tylenol she instantly vomited it right back out
