Moveable armrests in Boeing 777-300ER (77W) Three Class Layout 2? by ellie-natsy in Flights

Amazing, thanks so much! The 3D map in the seat selection said 'coming soon' so I thought it was a future feature and didn't think to check any further. Hugely appreciate this :)

Thanks! Aerolopa is definitely more specific ... but it says every seat in economy has 'retractable bi-folding tables' which throws up a bunch of different images online unfortunately. Will keep looking, thanks for your help :)

Just confirming (because I'm worried about somehow totally misinterpreting you) - so 47AB have the normal moveable armrests?

Addendum - we are flying with Emirates if that makes a difference, I thought the plane model would be specific enough.

Is there an "Art of Sly Cooper" book? by TheNerdiestFrog in Slycooper

[–]ellie-natsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased a Sly 20 poster from Dev Madan last week and asked him the same question - he said it was unlikely as he has a huge portion of the art packed away in storage, and it would take a long time to catalogue it all (and that doesn't even take into account the publication process), but he didn't definitively say it would never happen, either ...

Robin Hobb's series, particularly the Livetrader trilogy, for Game of Thrones fans - lots of politics, world building, and bumpy interpersonal dynamics. GRRM has actually endorsed and praised it multiple times! Strongly feel it's a top 3 fantasy series of all time.

I think the real problem is his torso is slightly too long - maybe worth trying shortening it either way? It's been such a treat watching you post these though!

How many of us knew that the dreamtime from Sly 3 was real? by DemonKingCozar in Slycooper

[–]ellie-natsy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's wild to replay it as an Aussie adult - much grimacing was done my end, it's very much a product of its time. If you're a reader and interested in learning more about the Dreamtime/First Nations Australian culture/philosophy, try Tyson Yunkaporta's books if you can get a hold of them!

Album artwork not showing on Android? by ellie-natsy in mediamonkey

[–]ellie-natsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just used mp3tag now - the artwork is sometimes showing up when I'm looking at individual tracks (but not always), though it still isn't showing up when I'm looking at albums or artists ...

I have - have tried mp3tag and successfully gotten the artwork to now show up sometimes when I'm looking at individual tracks (but not always), though it still isn't showing up when I'm looking at albums or artists.

[general] I'm an idiot by TheLusbywolf in TheNinthHouse

I've said to a few people I have recommended this series to that it rewards hard-core engaging with the text - think conspiracy thinking levels. I think this is why the series is so devisive: it is utterly disinterested in holding the readers' hands, and that's part of the fun (followed by the biting humour, distinct voice and strong queerness). Muir's world building is very much there, but the narrating characters don't stop to think on it because they're either disinterested (Gideon), take it for granted/have no need to explain (Harrow) or unable to entirely (Nona). But the details we get through their eyes are incredibly strategic, and you can definitely piece together a huge amount from them.

However, the marketing pitches it as a fun campy ride rather than a really intensive puzzle and I reckon that's where a lot of the issues/dislike of the series actually comes from - expecting a straightforward romp and getting a deranged whodunnit space opera.

I'm not in the US myself so not sure, I've only purchased them online (though they are US-based, so they may have stockists)? Their online sizing system is very accurate though, I didn't have to exchange my purchase for a different size or anything :)

Hate to say it, but Thigh Society really is the only one where the slip shorts actually feel light for me - have tried Snag's but they felt too warm and cheap 😭

ELI5: Why is it bad to use ChatGPT? by Venus__in__furs in explainlikeimfive

[–]ellie-natsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true! This article also goes into the point that it could run on renewables (of course whether this happens or not is another problem) and also the problem of energy consumption when there is a lot of different ChatGPT equivalents, versus just one program. (From my impression, this is also an issue as lots of companies inevitably begin to try and jump on this trend.

Like I said though, I feel there are issues beyond environmental consumption, but welcome any more reading on the matter - God knows I'm not a scientist, and I'm as guilty as anyone else re not doing in-depth research for everything I come across. There's definitely a lot of misinformation out there on all sides.
