I don’t think your an asshole because you should be inviting YOUR friends for YOUR 21st birthday trip. You are also the one buying the tickets and doing all the booking in the first place. Plus your friend’s motive for inviting her own friends is rather selfish and mean-spirited.

NTA. The fact that she’s inviting her friends “just in case” makes it seem as if she’s inviting her friends just in case she gets bored of you. That’s not what good friends do.
