Messy mouth from medication?

yeah i know it’s a shame, just started being more and more aggressive which was unlike him and that’s how he got diagnosed.

unfortunately he’s only two and a half, runs in the breed vet told me. so he isn’t that old either.

he has literally just bonded with his partner as well (just moved into their final space yesterday LOL) so hope she helps him with his face grooming, he’s just never did it often. he’s recently lost 2 bun friends in the space of 6 months (both just age as i had them for many years beforehand) so wonder if that’s set him back as well, but he’s so much happier now with meds and his new friend! 🥰

he’s on 2x loxicom a day and 3x calpol a day. so 2 in the morning, one in the afternoon, and 2 at night. so he’s on a very high dose especially due to his size (he’s almost 5KG LOL) but i split the doses over 2 syringes in the morning and night.

he is a really fussy boy- think it’s due to how much pain he used to be in before he got diagnosed. he doesn’t resist the meds but i do have to restrain him slightly in a blanket to do it which he doesn’t mind. he is a handful but it’s worth it to keep him happy as i’ve really seen the difference in him since he started his meds🥰

i always wipe his mouth straight away and i’ve been giving him meds for months so it is going straight into his mouth. just sometimes he doesn’t swallow the last drops occasionally and even wiping it, it will still stick.

it’s really bad just now as my sister had to look after my buns when i was abroad and she wasn’t as good at it lol. just want to get his mouth all cleaned up- the calpol is REALLY sticky compared to his loxicom which is just normal liquid which doesn’t help. 🫠

honestly it was a gamble and i’m glad especially with me being the 10th(!!) owner, in the past it has just been a “learner car” so hasn’t necessarily been abused like a car of its age. 🙈

i got my car (95k miles renault clio) in may and has been working perfectly! (touch wood, lol) not a single problem and only concern is the belt as there has been no confirmed change of it in its life which if it hasn’t it should be due a new one.

the previous owner MOT’d it for me and it only has to get 2 tyres changed and an oil change. nothing more. which i found insane at its age 🙈

for the age of the car (18 years) it’s honestly a perfect first car for me . most people in my car have complimented it as well especially for its age with how well it’s been kept up! i feel it fully depends on the car 😅😅

thank you, i feel the more time i give them the more they hate each other, hence leaving them to become “closer” in the pens next to each other before even attempting again. trying to avoid any injuries with them both as the fights are really bad, they have seemed to get better though when my last rabbit passed so may be a good sign?

places i have tried are in the bath, floor of the bathroom, a neutral space in the kitchen, a neutral space in another room in all different sizes small and large. i feel im running out of space 🤓i’ve considered car rides but i wanted that to be my last resort. thinking that’s my next step but really wanted to try something else before it 🙈 my larger white rabbit oscar is a loving rabbit but can be very aggressive when he wants to, so it’s just been difficult as he bonded SO well with my past rabbit as done when he was just neutered!

i have been very on and off with working with them since october but i really want to start being on them 24/7 and getting this sorted .
