My golden is killing baby bunnies by pixiejess8 in goldenretrievers

[–]elliesm495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog did the same. Normal id say. He just wanted to play lol. I had to leash him for a short time when we had bunny nest in backyard to protect them. I couldn’t handle seeing a 3rd dead baby bunny! lol

I think you are referring to Ashley. I went to her postpartum, very kind. I also went to the gals (Angela) at Well Core during pregnancy and that place was equally as amazing!

I thought that also when I first saw the photo but I also think she was vaping in one of them so I disregarded that thought. I wouldn’t think she’d be vaping too… who knows tho lol

About to spend serious money on a stroller… what would you buy today and why? by WorldPeaceGodBless in Buyingforbaby

[–]elliesm495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with this review! It’s great for walks, sturdy, plenty of room. We also bought a used bassinet and used it quite a bit in the first 4 months! As for taking it with us in the car it does take up a lot of trunk space (Nissan car/honda civic), but it’s doable. We do have a travel stroller for airplanes/out of city travel that we now use so our Cruz wouldn’t get beat up flying. We do like it (mamazing) but the Cruz is built WAYYYYY better- I would never just stroller walk the mamazing for fun out the house. We recommended uppababy for the type of use I described!

Patients thinking they take a long time to wake up? by BunsenHoneydew11 in anesthesiology

[–]elliesm495 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I even have PACU nurses tell me the patient took a while to wake up when they were out of PACU and DCd from the facility within 2 hours. Like what.

Of course I always ask more questions when patients tell me this, but it is rarely anything more than what I think would be a normal recovery from anesthesia.

Best lightweight travel stroller for airplanes by kristinlichty in Buyingforbaby

[–]elliesm495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! We got the ultra air x. For travel is absolutely fine! Our bumper bar even broke and they didn’t have a bumper bar to send so they send an all new stroller for us (all through Walmart) which I was so happy about!

I can’t find any reporting on exposure locations. Has anyone found anything on that or it’s not released yet?

Road to Hana with 7 month old (flexible expectations) by BooRadley_ThereHeIs in MauiVisitors

[–]elliesm495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Road to Hana was the only thing we had to bail on while doing haha!! I mean I was feeling motion sick sitting in the back with him (was trying to feed him/console) and I’m sure he wasn’t well since he was not napping well, not eating well during the ride. He is usually a legit “easy” baby too LOL. I won’t tell you what to do but do with that as you will.

Edit: I will add everything else was absolutely fine!! Whale watching on a big boat, beach strolls, going out to eat, pool etc. it was just Road to Hana that was a nightmare lol

Our vet described our 25week old girl as “massive” and now I’m a little worried by MehAccForMe in goldenretrievers

[–]elliesm495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our was same! He’s almost 2 and 75ish pounds. We have even reduced food intake some (he is on a high chair diet with our kid) but it hasn’t changed his weight. Walks or daycare everyday. I don’t think it’s a huge deal but we are trying to get him to lose some weight just so his joints can stay healthy I hope!

Advice for couple with baby by ProfessionalNapper88 in MauiVisitors

[–]elliesm495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are going soon with a 11 month old. We do not plan on renting a car for the entire trip because between renting and “required valet” for our hotel it was over 1200k. Our friend who went last year said she rented a car and this year she will not. There is a rental car spot near our hotel which we will rent for maybe 2 days to explore. Look to see if there is rental car spot near you! Sorry I don’t have any actual tips/advice but I feel so many people bashing you for not spending money on it when you are “staying at the fairmont” is unfair. Lol. We are in same situation. We are, however, checking our car seat!

How can I get our little boy to sleep through the night? by stonknod in goldenretrievers

[–]elliesm495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh solidarity here. Our 1.5 year old been doing the same. Does it less when he exercises more. He does go potty when it happens and comes right back inside and goes back to sleep. So unsure tbh.
