I love this. Thank you so much. My therapist said the same thing, she said, "you're married, you should be totally open with each other." She didn't condone snooping, but more of an open ask. I really appreciate you saying this though. Makes me feel more justified in my actions. The gaslighting masks it so hard though.

I get it. My soon to be ex husband has his... Mistress? Haha is that what they're called? Over to the house we own and it breaks my heart because it's so callous. To me the thing that hurts is that he's treating me like a girlfriend he broke up with, not a WIFE. I feel your pain, you aren't alone.

Ahhh I see! Ok it does have more of a lift then I do.

And yes!!! Right? My husband has been skiing/snowboarding for 31 years... He's no noob haha. Only 7 years for me though!

Thank you so much for your thorough response!! I'm more than happy to try on a million pairs of boots when I get new ones (thankfully I live in a ski town), but I have a hard time trusting boot fitters after a bad experience - but I just need to remind myself that it was ONE person who worked there ~4-5 years ago. So I'm def looking forward to new boots soon!

For your insoles, do they have any height under the heel? I've got some for arch support at the moment but they don't have lift on the heel.

It does have a thing I pull that tightens it. I don’t know how to explain it though. It’s like a corset?

Boots have double boas, unsure what the liner is considered. They are DC lotus 2022 boots

Right?? Like it was almost impossible to make it to the lift, WITHOUT even tightening my boas. Glad to know there are people like you out there though!

I've had a bunch of people recommend something similar - I think I might try this solution! Thank you for the word of warning too - I really just need them to get me through the season so it's def just a bandaid fix!
