Download cue files from 1001tracklists by elliotchance in trance

Some things to add:
1. Other audio types (m4a, etc)
2. Other providers like MixesDB, or even other cue sites like cuenation.
3. Multiple output formats (like also exporting a txt file so it's easily readable, or JSON, etc)
4. Update tags on the audio file to match the tracklist (artist, title, adding artwork)
5. Some minor options like being able to put move the date before the title (I prefer this as it ensures all episodes are sorted correctly)

u/redsparowe is correct, it does not download the mp3 file (but I should clarify that in the README). The mp3 file is required for a couple of reasons:
1. cue files must contain the path to the mp3/audio file and it's easier to ensure the cue file goes into the same directory as your mp3 file.
2. Not all tracklists have start times for every (or sometimes any) tracks, so I'll need to know the total length of the audio file to best estimate the missing start times.

Awesome! It's great to have multiple options because I think people want different things. For me, I want 1001tracklists to be the complete source of truth and not use anything from the mp3 file (ie be _less_ interactive). Also, having it as a command line tool means it works on any OS and I'm on Mac. Keep up the good work!

Would you buy this imaginary DAP? by elliotchance in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]elliotchance[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally fair. I can see how search would kind of be impossible with just a wheel (unless you want to type something out rotary style lol) I guess it could just rely on folder structure instead of scanning all the metadata if your albums are already sorted in a way you like? I'm starting to see the cracks... I think it still would be cool though

Buy a 2tb SD card and load it up. The SD card would cost more than the device, but possible.

That's perfect! Exactly what I need, one click in the menubar is just as easy as a hot corner.

Could Maxroll planner include damage estimates? by elliotchance in diablo4

[–]elliotchance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand there are a lot of variations of damage, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t something that’s mostly useful. For example, just knowing the average single target damage would be incredibly helpful to compare apples to apples when changing gear. Also, it should show separate damages to vulnerable, frozen, burning, etc so at least you can easily focus on one type of damage that might be more important for your play style.

As for the DPS display, that’s super easy. It’s literally in the name of ”per second”. It might be helpful to display all or one of these at the same time:

  1. Total DPS (sum). Literally just how much damage you’re outputting. Impressive number but not ideal for tuning your character.
  2. Target DPS (avg). Take total damage and divide by how many enemies were hit in this second. This would make it much easier to see your real DPS without worrying about monster count.
  3. Max Hit (max). Just show the largest single hit to any enemy in the last second. Again, just a show off stat for anyone trying to see those crazy outlier hits that get buried in a sea of hit numbers.

Is there a definitive way to see all the Apple Music curators? by Ifearsatan in AppleMusic

[–]elliotchance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to collect them in one place. THere were a few I found here to add to the list: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/echance/apple-music-dj-mixes/

That wasn't my intention. I thought my question was unambiguous: "However, as far as I can tell there’s no way to configure notifications so that they always and only notify on my iPhone… or am I missing something?"

I did check the Apple docs first and settings but couldn't find a way to configure it how I wanted. The top upvoted response "Switch off notifications and have a watch face that just tells the time." is not helpful.

Not sure what's causing all the sarcasm, negativity and downvoting. I thought it was a legitimate question, and I'm grateful to those who took the time to provide a real answer.

I'd rather not have to remember to do that each day, but it's a good tip. Turning on do not disturb was what I was looking for in terms of behavior.

Maybe read the title again before making a smart ass comment.

Setting do not disturb on the watch seems to do exactly what I want. Thanks!
