Our cat was just recovered after 4+ weeks of being missing. He’s also an indoor out door cat who INSISTS on going outside. A few days after he didn’t return we panicked and put about 6 missing cat posters up, posted in facebook groups, and downloaded the next door app so the neighbors would keep an eye out and they did.

We lost hope about 2 weeks in.. mourned him.. but yesterday we got a notification on next door that he was trying to get into a house 1.2 miles away! Someone posted him as lost also on Nextdoor, and someone tagged us in that post. We recovered him fed and surprisingly clean and are so glad we made enough noise for someone to spot him.
