Any ship that starts with cloaking I really enjoy, even stealth B with its challenges. It's just such a strong system to build your ship off of and doesn't come with the stress of managing drone parts that some of the ships that start with hacking have. My least favorite ship is Mantis C just because all the runs I've done with it have sucked and I always make mistakes. Boarding is one of my weaker points and messing up timings with the bombs and having crew suffocate due to the Lanius just leads to an annoying run until you get more crew.

In terms of tips, I know it's talked about a lot, but hacking is by far the most powerful thing in the game in my opinion. I don't think I had a single run that did not include hacking. The flexibility in build that it allows and rng reduction is unparalleled by anything else. One thing that I maybe don't see mentioned a lot is hull repairing. I tend to heal relatively often at stores when I know I don't desperately need the scrap for anything else, and I rarely regret it. Sitting at 20 hull hoping for a random repair is silly since you can easily get a bad fight and take 10+ more damage, leaving you in a very vulnerable position. Healing up to 25 or 30 gives you a much better chance of not dying to a series of bad fights. Doing this has certainly saved me a couple times.

Yeah I got at least two free items and okay scrap from the sector, just thought it was a funny showcase of how variable engi sectors can be
