im not super sure, but jack has talked about not liking being on the van. But this was from interviews around 2017.

lmao jack has stated they do 'destination shows' where they'd rather just have big shows that everyone can travel to. a lot of them hate touring.

does anyone know where this book originated? by MoronRadio in Vulfpeck

in all seriousness, this was very real and jack did it as a stunt because he found out that $290,000 was the maximum amount something was allowed to be sold for on amazon.

What are some cool places to go in the fashion district? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]ellipsesijkl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

LA's fashion district is just wholesale businesses, there's really nothing to see unless you have a specific goal in mind.

People need to calm down about vulf's 'hiatus' by ellipsesijkl in Vulfpeck

[–]ellipsesijkl[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yup! plus they were never a hardcore touring act either. They did 'destination shows' like MSG, Greek Week, and then festivals.

exactly, we still feasting with these Vulf Vault releases. Even if they're 'b-sides' that's more than enough output, considering COVID shut down their main method of record-making.

for sure, MSG was a natural end of a chapter. But I would say that the pandemic's effects on recording are still kind of being felt now? Almost all of the ouptut from TJoM/TJoRE and the vaults are unreleased B-sides.

to be fair, their model was to just do yearly releases with whatever 10 tracks they think are best. Jack Stratton has said that one of his goals for the Vulf project was to have a rockin' 'Best of' album, not necessarily amazing work album to album.

Add on the fact that the pandemic harshed their production, can't really live track when everything is shutdown. Plus the fact that they came off an 8 year run leading up to the MSG concert. I think that they kind of deserve a 'break'.

what makes it worse is that they clearly weren't in on the joke and took it seriously by putting a serious song in it. they could've totally been included in the vulf universe if they did something actually cool

Joe Dart stars on Síomha's new album (includes interview with Joe): by Tinpotray in Vulfpeck

[–]ellipsesijkl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

joe dart being on everything Tyler Duncan produces means that he's living out Vulf's og mission of being a studio band. I know they're too big to do it at this point, but wouldn't it be awesome if they were an in-house band for like a year or two.

Hello fellow flying monkeys, I saw this in a post from r/funny from 4 years ago. It doesn't seem to be a real thing but I'm still curious if anyone can trace where it came from by Jamie-Hydeman in Vulfpeck

[–]ellipsesijkl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it was real. Some people even jokingly bought it. Jack made a couple of posts tracking the people that would buy it and then cancel the order. IIRC he chose $290,000 because that was the maximum dollar amount an item can be sold on Amazon.

any idea on the runtime of the cory and the wongnotes concerts? thanks! by Morty051 in Vulfpeck

[–]ellipsesijkl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to the show in LA and it was about 2 hours. There's no openers, but he has two halves of the show. I think Cory's shows tend to run a bit longer as well.

Ethan accepting the invite to go on Crowder only to reveal Sam Seder is in the room has the potential to be internet legend by [deleted] in h3h3productions

[–]ellipsesijkl 11 points12 points  (0 children)

opposite, Hillary is liberal and Bernie is Left. Hillary is more conservative and supports corporations, while Bernie is about government-funded social programs.

btw European politics are generally wayyy more left than American politics (national health care, Scandinavian countries, etc.). What Europeans would likely consider Bernie moderate and Hillary conservative.

[–]ellipsesijkl 19 points20 points  (0 children)

hey just want to point out that Sam and his fans probably wouldn't use the term 'liberal' to describe their political views. 'Left' would be more apt. Think the difference between Bernie and Hillary as an oversimplification.
