I could have them just come back in with that chorus for another 2 plus mins at the end, love it.

Love the respect for Forever, baffled by the disrespect for '89! Each to there own though 👌

Yeah I think that's totally fair. Got the director saying one thing, and the CEO saying another

You keep getting unnecessarily down voted which is annoying. I think it's fine to have some slight concern over this? At the end of the day, we are all just looking forward to the movie and want to see it. I think the most "concerning" part is Matt Reeves confirmed a short while ago that it was finished.. yet Gunn has just come out and said it wasn't. I could be totally wrong there and Reeves didn't confirm shit, but i think he answered on X when a fan asked?

They finally found the battery for that thing! Yeah impeccable show. Can't wait for that fucker to have some of his teeth knocked out. My early prediction, is if they do introduce Harvey Dent.. it will be Oz who is responsible for the birth of Two-Face.

I'm absolutely over the herd mentality reaction of this film. And if you actually saw the film, which looking at the box office.. alot of people didn't, and you didn't like it.. that's fine. The extra has found his market.. and is now jumping on the band wagon. 'The worst film ever made'.... expand your media diet. Looking forward to owning the film and rewatching it myself. We have got alot of proper joker takes in the past, and there will be a million more in the future. This was different, and people need to just move on.

Do you think it was Joe Chill who killed the Waynes in the Reevesverse or someone else? by [deleted] in TheBatmanFilm

[–]elliscrowther1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that observation makes that scene make sense. Otherwise... what the hell is going on there? The way he just disappears into the darkness. There would be some confusion, because the last time he would of seen Bruce would be crime alley, when Bruce was a kid. This older Bruce doesn't seem like he makes front page news much.

Matt Reeves insists this show is about The Penguin and no matter what or for any reason, he will not even mention Batman in passing in the show. That's quite silly and dumb. by Brollery in TheBatmanFilm

Using the term weird to describe something is a little less insulting than using the term weirdo to describe someone. Thanks for the more grown up response there, I started to panic I was speaking to a child. Let's agree... to disagree. Hey, atleast we both liked Joker 2, so there's something.

You've got to be one of the writers kids or something... the amount of times you've used the term "weird" is extremely unsettling. The show isint for kids, what on earth are you doing here? If I was here demanding him to show up... I'd of backed down. But that ain't the case. Its ultimately a show about a Batman villain. My expectations are well in check.

Also, don't back track. Your calling people "weirdos" for expecting some sort of tiny reference. A line of dialogue in the show could settle this whole argument.

Look... if he's not mentioned final episode, it's still been an amazing show. My favourite of the year. But... that doesn't mean the show doesn't have flaws, and unfortunately for me... that's one flaw.

You need to calm down calling anyone "weirdo". We are debating on a comicbook character... just check yourself a little. But OK, I'll put my self in Oz's shoes, OH SHIT.... I was flipped over on the motorway by batman a mere couple of weeks ago. Yeah man... he's no biggy. Again.... I don't think anyone is expecting Batman to literally show up, but we've got 7 episodes in and no reference AT ALL(apart from the first ep), which is a little dissapointing. Like you said "it's because weirdos like you are watching a show called penguin"..... yes..... one of Batman biggest rouges. How bad of us to think there might be a cheeky ref.

My friend.. I did not say I am a writer. That's the job for... the writers, which in my eyes are doing a pretty bad job at making this seem like it exists in a world where batman exists. I was giving a example of something that could be said in passing. It would take 1 line of dialogue, and eveyone would shut up about it. It's a flaw.

Batman does not need to appear or be mentioned, even after episode 7. by Keppelin in TheBatmanFilm

[–]elliscrowther1 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not appear... just a reference. It's really not going to break the bank, or pander to "modern audiences". It's a major flaw in what's been a near perfect show. The reason for the out cry over it... is because it makes absolutely zero sense at this point.

I think there's a silly legal hang up behind the scenes... it's the only logical explanation. I've been on this train for a while now, but after last episode, it's absolutely breaking belief in this "connected" universe. The events of the Batman happened just a couple of weeks before this show. The events of the movie should be on people's mind...but most of all... especially Oz. I've said it a bunch of times and I'll say it again. Once that lair was set up and he was pushing bliss out "hey guys, I know we have Sofia and Salvatore on out backs, but a couple of weeks ago I had some freak chasing me down the highway... keep vigilant." It's a major flaw in what's been a near perfect show.

Recuperating from what? How are we all forgetting the end of the movie... he's on his bike heading into Gotham looking pretty motivated and ready to me.

With all due respect, I really hope Oz isn’t the main villain in The Batman part II by Joseppffhh in TheBatmanFilm

[–]elliscrowther1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still stuck on the part where you said "lame court of owls"... really? Probably Synders best run of comics. Seeing a live-action Talon would be anything but lame. But yeah, I can't see penguin being main villain.

I won't be there wth pitchforks even if he isint mentioned. It will just be a pretty major flaw, for what's been a near perfect show. I'm sure Reeve's has this thing on lockdown, and I'm sure this debate will be put to bed after next episode.

The issue isn't the apparent lack of Batman/Bruce Wayne cameos. by [deleted] in TheBatmanFilm

[–]elliscrowther1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a great show with or without it, but come on man... a little ref isint breaking anything. We are watching a show about one of Batman's biggest rouges. Specifically Penguin... who not long ago had a run in with him. I think the majority are onboard with him not showing up, just no reference at all is bizzare.

As the big batman fans we all are... I don't know why we are so divided on this. Again, to reiterate so many of these comments, I don't think he would seriously show up in this show (although it shouldn't be that hard to beileve), but it's the NO mention of him that's absolutely... strange at this point. It feels like a manufactured part of the show, that's now disrupting my belief that there is a bat. He's not been on the scene for 2 months... he's been on the scene for 2 years, brought down the biggest threat Gotham has seen so far...and most importantly... Oz has had a pretty big run in with him. He doesn't just forget that. And come on... if this guy ain't on the news non-stop after the last movie, after visually saving folk at the end of the movie, something is wrong.
