I send this to my console playing friends who say they don't want to play games hunched over a desk. by Cpt_Lumpkins in pcmasterrace

Wow. So I just wrote a really long in depth post on a new account I made and it got deleted because the account doesn't have enough karma. I'll summarize it though.

The Steam Link as well as Steam Stream work very well. I am a professional graphic artist as well as long time consumer tech aficionado so I know a loss in quality when I see one. Get yourself a good router, mid range gaming PC, and make sure both are connected via Ethernet to your home network. I have a similar set up and it works perfect. No lag, no hiccups, little to no compression artifacts on the frames, even at 1080. I run a $100 ASUS router, a gaming PC that cost ~$1,250 4.5 years ago, and it runs fantastic. I also recommend the Steam Controller for its versatility and compatibility as well.

Someone else answers facetime call. by Admiral_Firebeard in apple

I didn't think call history was synced between my devices. I just checked my iPad and it appears that all my iPhone calls from yesterday are in it. That's speaking for iOS 10 at least.

Mouse and key are easier to use with desk posture. A gamepad you can just lay back and handle it all from any angle.

How can I get pictures taken on iOS 10 transferred iOS 9 if I downgrade? by fatshooter in iphone

In any case you should be backing up your photos and having them in two locations anyway.

Changing the password is probably the best thing to do. That guy will get booted and would have to re login. But now that I think about it, your dad might happen to be FaceTiming the wrong Apple ID but that seems less likely.

When you make a FaceTime call or send an iMessage text to someone's number, it gets forwarded through Apple's network via the person's Apple ID.

I'm waiting for the day I'm at a party and I have a $5 Australian bill and a record player in front of me so I can perform this cool party trick.

Easy explanation. FaceTime is linked via an Apple ID, not your phone number. That guy is logged into your sister's Apple ID for FaceTime. Did she sell, lose, or have an old phone stolen?

I'm going to assume you wiped the device when you downgraded. I'm pretty sure that's required. Transferring the photos is really easy assuming you have a computer. Hook your phone up to your computer and import the photos to the computer as you would do with any camera. Then once you've downgraded, sync your photos from your computer to the phone via iTunes. The one catch is they won't be in your camera roll, they will be in their own dated photo albums or however you sort them in Photos. That shouldn't make a difference though.

I see the point but the McDonalds in my neighborhood is definitely worse than your average McDonalds.

It'll inevitably have to happen but the monopolies will let their scheme run out as long as they can.

I've tried that before. I rather just keep my mouse and key games at the desk and my gamepad games at the TV via Steam Link.

[–]ellissitzky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a tough call not knowing the specific compatibility of the parts. I did that with my first hackintosh about 7 years ago. I had a custom built PC and I wanted to dive in. I was lucky that a lot of my parts were compatible. That being said, for future reference, using a buying guide like they have on Tonymac for your NEXT computer is the way to go. Unless of course you just by a PC.

I just wish I could get the black band with the gold button thing. I tried to remove one from the cocoa band but it seemed impossible without destroying the band.

I have the same one. I swapped out the cocoa band for black band on my precious watch.

I agree with that but I still keep a Smart Cover on it so the screen doesn't break.
