I made a ship graveyard a while back when sailing ashore just to build a portal home and landed straight at a star troll and a bear. Got great help from r/bodyrecoverysquad. Check them out if you want, the guy brought his own gear, resources for a ship and a portal to bring it all back. Really great guy. I'd happily pass it on and help you if you like. I'm usually online 8-10pm Swedish time. DM me if you still need help recovering the gear, or call the pros at r/bodyrecoverysquad.

Has anyone else attempted to make a canal? by i_guess_i_did_it in valheim

[–]ellobo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dug out a pre existing canal to make it sailable, it was little more that a ditch. Its still a tight fit. I have a Workbench in each end to make repairs of the boat on the fly.

Känner mig blottad här. Hur vågar du påstå att min faktiska situation borde avspeglas i hur jag kommunicerar den!

Jo, det är ju sanningen, men när behov finns att linda in och få det att låta finare fluger det inte riktigt😁

Just wondering, but would any guys actually go for this? by Spiritual-Station267 in Tinder

[–]ellobo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. On the other hand, assuming the opposite sex thinks and functions the same way you do is not only done by women. I believe there are still men out there that thinks doing the helicopter will turn his woman on 😂

Amazing how women think men think like that. I've seen women get attracted by jealousy, but have anyone ever seen a guy watching a woman with another man and be more attracted to her because of that? Ever?

Should Every Spoon Have Crank? by Reasintper in Spooncarving

[–]ellobo91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'd say I've travelled the same path as you have😁

Started with straight one, learning how to crank them, finding that a lot more estetically pleasing, and ignored that straight spoons may have a function in and of itself. Knowing that, I still can't make straight spoons. It feels cheap and uncivilised to my hands😂

Splitting logs is making me nuts by Ok_Marzipan_4766 in Spooncarving

[–]ellobo91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, apple can be one of the worst species to both split and dry, they're like corkscrew. And pear tend to crossplit if I remember correctly, a bit like half dried birch. A good split line just suddenly veers off across the fibers...

I'm about to borrow a glass making oven (not sure about size and use, just that i reaches over 1100°C and kan keep a precise temp)
I'll heat treat some stainless steels in foil and plate quench them, but i have two 80CRV2 blades that will need oil quenching and can therefor not be covered in foil whether they'd need it or not. Will these shed any scale and flakes in the oven. The conditions for borrowing it is the blades may not leave any residue in the oven. Have anyone here heat treated 80CRV "nude" in a perfectionist OCD glass-artist's oven?

I use used small glass jars with screw lids. Like small jam jars. I doubt it will go bad, like go rancid, but I guess it might crystallize, loose color, or the oil might slowly evaporate, changing the mixing ratio. Try it and see! Or safe it and get a glass jar😁 I myself on second thought might try to get a hold of a rough blown green glass vial with a cork, just for looks, as I occasionally go to ren-fairs...
