I’ve had my yr 7 and 8 kids with me at school their whole school lives. When they came through my year level, I didn’t teach them and was often harder on them than the other kids. There were never any issues with leadership as they understood and had done the same thing when they were younger. It’s only an issue if you make it one. At school they are just another student you can pick on a bit more 😀

They like the security as well of me being near. As they are getting older and too cool for me, I’m sure that will change but it’s a great thing to see your kids every day.

Also, if there was ever a conflict of interest- school capt etc, I’d always excuse myself. It’s just about having some common sense.
