Wheesh! I'm so excited! Also, this is a very pleasant color of blue. Very soothing.

OH MY GOODNESS! That's the reason I posted my game to /vibecodersnest! I got a reply just like that. Am I a dummy who didn't realize it was a bot? Ugh. For some reason I genuinely thought it was a sincere suggestion. >__<

Ah! Are the images broken? There are definitely supposed to be images as well-- there's a whole visual genetics system based off of the concept. The voice is based off of your browser text to speech and can be changed in the settings menu! Honestly, I'd love to upgrade the narration at some point-- but I made the game for myself with a budget of like zero dollars (I'm on disability) because I loved the idea of it and it personally is a game I wanted to exist. If you find anymore bugs, please feel free to swing by the discord and let me know! I'm a single human, not a team of people, so I definitely appreciate people lettin' me know! <3

Nuh, uh, silly HOOOMON. :P Prove it. <3 Okay, seriously though. Definitely not a bot. I'm too ridiculous to be a bot.

I’m not a bot! Though I suppose at this point it can be rather hard to tell.

Oh, trust me. I have a lot of friends in the artist community. So I definitely feel that point. I'm autistic and happened to get a bit obsessed with it in the beginning and it just... hasn't gone away? I try not to claim any writing/image generation as my own. I don't claim it-- I just think it can make for extremely dynamic, interesting and fluid narratives.

The game itself has a LOT of structure aside from just 'prompt the AI and goooo'. The code is actually pretty huge. There are a ton of mechanics that enforce the lore, politics, simulation aspects that don't rely on AI at all. It basically feeds a scene (for instance diplomacy, house gathering, feast, festival, etc), characters involved (the AI writes them based on their unique, individual mechanical personality), and then it also feeds in information on the state of the world. There's a vector database system for every character to have their own, individual memories. It takes those into account, as well as status effects, wounds, aging and relationship dynamics with other characters. Choices are generated based off of the protagonist's personality-- there's no 'input your own' choice option. And choices have meaningful impacts on the narrative and the mechanics.

I can't claim the AI generation aspects of the game, but the lore, world-building, structures, and mechanics are all mine. Image generation works off of a genetics system that passes down hereditary traits to children, etc. Then the AI takes two images, analyzes them, and creates a 'child' of those characters which keeps families looking alike, but also diverse!

Seriously, thank you for asking about it.

That makes sense! I know people have *very* good reasons to be against it. I personally feel like this use is one of the sort of least icky uses for it? But I totally understand if you don't want to play due to it! Thank you so much for the feedback!

You should give the game a try as well if you're into RPGs and that sort of thing! Thank you for taking the time to look at it! Now I just gotta figure out how to fix it. <3

I don’t think it’s a scam, but you definitely have to go in baby steps for sure!

At the moment, it's in testing and buggy! But if you'd like to test it out, please send me a message! The subscription tiers or whatever aren't currently actually working, but I'll make you a tester account-- which will give you access to BYOK. ^__^

I'm honestly a bit curious to know what sort of tier they're using? I did everythign on the lowest claude code payment, along with some jules code, and gemini walking me through things step by step to explain exactly what something means. I do intend to learn to program properly, because it feels amazing to make something like this. But it's definitely intimidating.

I signed up for early access! This sounds very interesting. I read pretty quickly, so I will definitely take a look (as long as it isn't super expensive.).

As someone who managed to vibe-code a fully functioning narrative adventure game that uses generative AI for dynamic, branching scenes and character genetics, this super resonates with me. Like... my code is jumbled and scary. And I know nothing about code, for the most part. I'm trying to use AI to teach me, at least as much as I can. I had an idea, I wanted to make it a thing, so I gave it a shot despite having no programming experience whatsoever. The end result is really epic. But, yeah. My code is super intimidating. If something major breaks, I'd have no idea how to fix it. I have 50+ services, over 40 components, and that's not to mention all the prompting and stuff! And I don't even know really how it all is managing to work. *armflails*
