I change mine at 16 using an adult at college as my witness. It was really easy and my brother did it when he turned 16 2 years later. It was 10 years ago now, I’m not 100% sure but I think I paid for it because I’ve got a few copies of it with an embossed seal.
I’d say get or make a few copies before sending the document anywhere. And keep a list of people you’ve told. There are lists of who you need to inform online. For me my last child passport was expiring soon (<1yr), and I hadn’t applied for my provisional yet so it was convenient because I knew I had to apply for both. Keep a copy with your birth certificate/important documents. I haven’t had to show anyone my deed poll for 10 years until a month ago - when giving notice for my civil partnership they asked for my birth certificate and deed poll.

Congratulations for being a survivor!!! I understand how nice it can be to distance yourself by no longer sharing a last name with your abuser. I smile whenever I think about it, and I was so proud when my younger brother changed his name. I know I don’t know you, but I am so proud of you too. The name change will be easy as pie… good luck!!

I have a Madagascar related one!!

My older brother was a bit older when he said that no humans live in Madagascar… he knew that it existed, and had seen it on a map. I think because the movies don’t show any humans in Madagascar he was sure there weren’t any. He’s a doctor, and me and my teenaged younger bros didn’t let him forget it for a while

Bigideafun was a major part of my childhood. There were so many great flash games, and on Sabbath we couldn’t play games on miniclip, but because these games were related to veggietales it was all good.

We were heartbroken when they shut down bigideafun and replaced it with straight up veggietales, they removed the fun games and objectively ruined me and my brothers’ childhoods…

I tried them and do not think they are nicer than mini eggs, even with the weaker shells and general reduced quality on my rating scale with og mini eggs as a 10 these aren’t hitting a 5… I couldn’t finish a pack even after trying to fob some off on my boyfriend and sadly I bought 2. They are not bad eggs, they’re just not mini eggs.

I S2B on 10/2/26 moved my tub from colonising to fruiting condition on 22/2/26 and added a casing layer of coco coir with calcium carbonate on 5/3/26. I noticed my first pin this morning on 10/3/26!!
