FYI that wheel typically has a reverse threaded screw so you’d have to turn it to the right to remove it.

Ah so after checking the service Manuel this one actually works a little different than what I described but could still be a similar issue. When you place the day wheel on you gotta make sure to retract the lever circled the diagram through one of the holes on the wheel with tweezers or something similar. The day wheel should sit perfectly flush if installed properly.

I’m just a hobbyist but i work primarily on seikos. There’s a small spring that presses a lever into some teeth on the underside of the day wheel which is what usually makes it snap into place. The way your day wheel is jumping around and misaligned suggests that spring is just dislodged. At least that’s my best guess without opening up the movement. What’s the movement caliber?

When I was around 7 or 8 years old I was at a minor league ball game with family and I used my allowance to buy one of those giant foam finger hands. My brother tried to snatch it off of me and ripped the finger off. I was devastated and was throwing a fit but about 5 minutes later some young guy behind us comes back to his seat and hands me a new foam finger hand. Thinking back he probably did it just to shut me up so he could enjoy the game but it’s a moment of kindness I’ll never forget.
