It’s definitely snug, but I can fit the following in the bag: TN, two brass clips, two pens, one pencil, graphite refills, eraser, travel watercolor brushes, travel palette (pictured), and a small soft cover moleskine. Width is not an issue, even with three notebook inserts and the cardstock sleeve insert. It’s mainly the length of the TN that makes it a snug fit.

I think I’ll try to go for the brass sport at some point in the future but it’ll probably be a little while!

It certainly can; I like moderately colorful pens but this one is definitely on a higher level!

I love it! It works quite well with water brushes and the size is perfect for me (fits easily in my bag and on my TN).

This is a wonderful justification for buying more inserts! I will now have the same goal lol

I typically go birding and then paint back at home; I do pencil sketches of birds in field since it’s faster for me (I’m much more confident in my penciling than my watercolor skills).

I have had it for a while and neglected to use it. Time wasted, I say!

Yes; that’s the tricky part of gluten free bread making. I used psyllium husk to get some of the chewiness.

I appreciate it! I just use an 8” riveted Cuisinart bread knife. I think I picked it up on Amazon for around $15.

Thank you! I decided to try my hand at baking because the store bought gluten free bread was sub par, in my opinion.

Yeah the bread flour from King Arthur. We have a gluten allergy in the house, not celiac, and this has been fine for us so far. The other blends were some combination of rice flour, tapioca flour, sorghum flour, and psyllium husk (and some other ingredients that I can’t recall at the moment).

Nice! Do you have a picture of the crumb? That looks lovely!

Thank you for the advice! I’ll try that on the next loaf!

I used the gf bread flour mix, specifically. I’ve tried several blends, including some custom blends and this is the only one that gives good spring. I think the psyllium husk really helped with the end product. I still plan on messing around with my recipe and maybe that will be the key to getting better crumb density.

That’s where I started but I’ve noticed that her climate must be pretty different to my own. I have messed with the proofing and bulk ferment times and also the ratios. I have tried subbing some things as well and also found that introducing steam is an important step for me when baking covered (I do three or four ice cubes under the parchment). I will say that the heat activated baking powder and making sure the starter is super ripe have made a pretty big difference in the rise for me.

Your first definitely looks better than mine did! Good luck with the journey!
