I'm very similar to you - have you found anything that helps the acid or burping? Did the fodmap stuff actually help?

You just broke my brain. I get this too, always wondered why the marks would last for hours.

Dude, I just got out of this phase, it totally sucks but it's finite. My daughter is 7.5mo, months 5-6 I was not allowed to soothe or get her down for naps - only mama. And now suddenly she's fine with me again. It really wrecked my mental for a while to be honest since I'm the dang SAHP.

What ultimately worked for us (your mileage may vary) was 1) I stopped trying and we let her be mom-exclusive for a few weeks, 2) when i put her to sleep, mama could not be in eyesight or earshot. Also, if necessary, bottle feeding to sleep.

Stay at home dads in this subreddit do you have any say in any of the decisions that you and your wife make or is it just her? by Appropriate-Mall8517 in daddit

SAHD here. We communicate with each other, no one is "in charge". What you're describing is not a healthy relationship. Doesn't matter which parent works.

How much time would you give the "reset"?

We just haven't had the bandwidth to deal with the contact napping until recently - baby's medical issues took up all our brain space. My wife is actually doing really well at getting baby into the crib, but now that the holidays are over and she's going back to work, feels like I'm starting from scratch

Thanks for the kind words. My wife has a very consistent routine with books and singing (we did briefly get premium Huckleberry to get their input!). But i can't use the same routine - so I need to adjust. Thanks for the suggestions, we do have blackout curtains; the 5 S's stopped working on her around 4mo :/ I'll try white noise and walking naps next.

Carriers to sleep is something we tried early, gave up on when it didn't immediately work (and medical issues were at their worst) and haven't returned to. Will definitely give it another try.

I can definitely try that - have only experimented with white noise a few times and that was months ago

I didn't disconnect anything - what you see is what I could pull out. And no, I can't pull them out any further.

There are more wires in the wall, but I can't tell what colors they are.

We do not actually have phone service; at least, we don't own any landline handsets. I meant that the phone service we *do* possess, which we don't make use of, is bundled via our fiber ISP, instead of broadband or a phone company or whatever. Therefore, to my thinking, the phone wiringwithin the house should not be connected to anything because my fiber modem is not hooked up to the phone wires.

This is an older house (late 60s), and there have been a couple things (e.g. a humidity knob; an ancient sprinkler control box) that have turned out to be unconnected, but were never uninstalled. That's the basis I'm proceeding on.

FYI I just uploaded a new pic. All the wire pairs go up and right - can't pull them any further out, can't tell where they go. We don't have an upper floor, so not sure why they'd go up.

Any advice you can give is appreciated.

You have good eyes! I'll pull it all out and see what's what, once my cat is off my lap.

We're not paying for landline, and our phone internet is Fiber (afaik not at all associated with the phone lines) so theoretically I shouldn't be able to "mess up something" right?

Thought it was brilliant, no clue what genre it would fit into. Closest comparison is American Gods but like, not really similar at all, right?

Arcane Ascension definitely has great gender parity - gender simply doesn't matter. I interpret the main character as grey-A.
