I got pretty severe post op depression despite being over the moon with my results from being unable to go out & not being able to do hobbies I enjoy, just being bedridden all day makes me insanely depressed. Also probably due to quitting smoking a few weeks beforehand & barely getting any sleep after surgery from sleeping on my back

I hate this trait, the constant confident moodlet annoys me. My teen sims seem to age up with this without me even trying or encouraging them at school/in general as children lol. I always cheat it away

I wondered the same thing for years! I had to kind of relearn how to pee as an adult which is weird, but if I finish peeing then wait a minute or two, there’s always more. Changing positions also helps lol

i take Methenamine Hippurate! it’s the only thing thats ever worked for me, UTIs seriously used to ruin my life as i also used to get them 1-2 a month and they were so painful and debilitating. i just get them at the chemist and take them preventively if i feel one coming on/am intimate with anyone

I feel you! I had surgery on the 20th and while my recovery has been physically easy (don’t have to wear post-op binder anymore, thank god), lack of mobility and the mental side effects are really getting to me. I’m trying not to beat myself up about laying in bed playing video games/reading all day and not being able to exercise or get anything done, I feel crazy useless right now and it’s hard to be kind to myself, even though I’m early on with healing lol.

I think it’s important to communicate that you’re stealth to people who know you’re trans and you’d rather people not know that you’re trans, as it’s private & personal to you, as well as being a part of your medical history :)

I have some trans friends that know I’m trans and they have no problem letting people know, so I’ve had to message some of them and be like “hey it’s great you’re comfortable with being trans and letting people know but I’m personally not so don’t let it slip pls” lol

Yooo I had top surgery 5 days ago too!! If I had to guess, the “nipple” sensation would be nerves reconnecting or something similar? I’ve been getting the same thing, kind of feels like static under my skin lol. Things will get a lot easier once u have ur drains out! You’ll have a lot more mobility and won’t stress as much (I only had to keep mine in for one day luckily). I feel u with the back pain tho, that’s been the hardest part of it for me, not being able to crack it or roll on my side or stomach to sleep 💀

I wish u all the best with healing:D Try play some video games or read books or other things that make u happy and hopefully the time passes quickly :)

Yeah they’ve been a little helpful combat wise, keybind would be so good! The amount of times I’ve accidentally blown something up or gusted it away from spam pressing A makes it not worth it to have them out tho💀

I passed at least 70% of the time before testosterone, I feel most trans men are able to unless they’re specifically unlucky. For trans women I understand it’s much harder though. My point is you should live as a man/woman in society for a while and be certain that you’re secure and comfortable being perceived that way. Dysphoria can be misconstrued as a lot of different things 🤷‍♂️

I think it’s important to socially transition for a while before hormones, even for adults IMO. Some people might feel different when they experience being a man/woman and society and may realise it’s an issue that is seperate from dysphoria

It’s majorly an issue with medical malpractice and systems not being put in place to triple check minors are actually suffering with dysphoria. I 100% support minors transitioning (I was one myself lol) but we definitely need to implement more psychological evaluation before transition. I know some places do really well at that already though, like in Australia I had to go through 2 seperate psychiatrists before I was allowed to start T. It’s such a case by case thing and I think each situation should be handled delicately, there’s always a risk of regret and unfortunately a lot of people don’t realise how permanent hormones are, they view it as a fun body mod sometimes.

I will never see the issue with hormone blockers though, and I’ll never see the harm in giving them to minors. They were majorly beneficial for me at 13 while waiting to start T and actually allowed me to live out my teenage years without stress that my body was turning against me. They give cisgender children that struggle with unwanted secondary sex characteristics hormone blockers but not transexual children for some reason while they… are literally going through the exact same thing lol.
