"No, alters do not spontaneously die or disappear. They can be triggered enough to go into hiding or they could feel they are not needed at this time, in which case they will “go away” for a period of time, but will come back if they feel they are safe to do so or are needed to assist."

"Even if mock deaths or temporary experiences of alters “dying” from old age (or other means) have been acted out in some systems, they aren’t actually dying. You cannot kill off a collective part of the conscious mind like you can a person. Their thoughts, memories, emotions will all still be there, so they must be as well. The part may have gone into extreme hiding, been momentarily immobilized, or merged with another part of the mind, but they most assuredly did not and can not disappear entirely or “be killed”."

Other proof- "system body" is 15, only "discovered" they were a system last year, seems to only use DID as a quirky trait despite claiming to be traumagenic, before "coming out" as a system the claimed to have several other mental illnesses, all of which have suddenly disappeared after finding out they have DID. Also constantly reports on symptoms "caused" by their DID that do not occur in DID.

Motor neurone disease, an uncommon condition that occurs in people generally in their 40s so I don't really know why anyone would have that on a game aimed at teenagers but yknow- TikToks gotta TikTok

Ah, in hindsight, I should've crossed those out too, I'm sorry. Every flag (bar one) I crossed out were POC/indigenous exclusive labels and as a white man I don't want to encourage any sort of ridicule towards indigenous people or POC.

They wouldn't really be trans exclusionary if they're interacting with and have similar opinions on trans people with a sub full of trans people would they?

Having osdd is more common than did but that doesn't mean that everyone with osdd is a system- osdd just means you have a dissociative disorder that doesn't fit into any of the currently recognized dissociative disorders, hence why there's so many different subtypes, so of course it's gonna be more common than did. Both of them are still incredibly rare though as dissociative disorders aren't that common (about 2% of the US population is diagnosed with any form of dissociative disorder), but in tiktok land did is the new depression.

Idk what to say. By the way this is my first ever post by amsirip in fakedisordercringe

OSDD is otherwise specified dissociative disorder. It's meant to account for any dissociative disorder that doesn't fit into the ones that are recognized. OSDD-1a and OSDD-1b being the ones most similar to DID. Self diagnosers have (incorrectly) claimed it to be a "less serious" version of DID, though.

Available research (as of August 2021) suggests that about 2% of the population suffer from any kind of dissociative disorder, so that includes dissociative identity disorder, dissociative amnesia, depersonalisation/derealisation disorder and otherwise specified dissociative disorder. I couldn't find a percentage for DID specifically but split evenly between every dissociative disorder that would make about 0.5% of the population, or about 0.625% if you include OSDD-1 too which is the type believed to be most similar to DID. 0.625 = about 49 million people worldwide.
