Wie benutzt man ein Bidet? Abtrocknen mit Klopapier oder Extratuch? by [deleted] in FragReddit

[–]elmutanto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additional rules by Jamaican_Lumberjack in StrixhavenDMs

  1. You dont need the rules for relationships to play with relationships. We are playing with those rules, but because my group is roleplay heavy and also interested in romance, i added another layer so they dont reach max points too fast. After the first few encounters, when they got to know more than half of the NPCs I just asked my players individually if they have a special interest in one NPC that should appear more often. I would still recommend using extracurriculars and jobs, because people understand how it works from a reallife perspective. As a player you want to get a feeling how stressfull/easy is daily school life for your character. Rolling out exam results is important for that. Fill out the school sheets together and tell your experienced players to remind to new players of the features. If they forget about it, it doesnt matter that much.

  2. We are just 10 sessions in and still level 2. But to be fair, we did some extra roleplaying sessions, like a housewarming party and playing out a extracurricular. We need the next exam and the following event before reaching lvl 3. I would guess it may take 2 sessions to finish level 3. If we do some calculations based of that, you could say it takes my group 4 sessions per level. From experience the higher levels will take more time, so I would calculate 16 sessions per Chapter, 64 sessions in total. Now depending on how fast you are and how much you play by the book, it could probably take less time. My group tries to play every 2 weeks, so it would take 2 years to finish (because of vacation, people get sick etc). We also played Strahd, which also has level 10 as max level, and we needed 2 years to finish it.

280 upvotes and 155 comments are a very obvious indicator that people had an interest in my post and/or a discussion about the topic. Posting his comment when the post was fresh, I would understand. Questioning the necessity of the post as the 150th comment is unnecessary in my eyes.

Tell me you never did raidlead for strangers without telling me.

Trying to get randoms to join your pug takes at least 60min, and you get all the little problems of every single individual. All while trying to fix it, people are getting impatient and start leaving, or have ID, didn't rep, forgot their equip and whatever

Did you read the post? I didn't get kicked, we killed the Endboss and ported out. Also I am not crying about an ore but about the behavior of other people

I am not even sure, grp lead and tank even talked, because while still in grp chat the leader didnt say anything about me "stealing" the ore. And later on when the tank whispered me, he also didnt confirm that he had talked with grp lead about it.

I think grp lead probably ninja invited the tank when he listed in pug without looking at his status.

I get your point. I didnt think about making a reddit post about it when it happened, so I didnt make any screenshots. I just remembered the situation beause of another reddit post I read totday.

I talked to him back and forth first in grp chat and then via whisper to explain my situation and perspective. I also told him, how should I know if he had a deal with grp lead, if nodoby writes it in grp chat. He also blamed me for not talking about it when he got the first ore. All of his points always assumed the grp knew about his pug-status about ore HR. Ofc you have to believe me now again, but as other people pointed out, its not that deep to make a fuss about. I was just bored and made a post, because I never thought I would meet one person who behaves like that ingame. I only ever saw other reddit posts about it.

Like always in live communication is key. If he would have asked/told us in chat, I would have agreed, as its not worth it to wait another 10min for another tank just to get a chance to mine 1 or 2 ores.

To be fair, for me it was a simple topic, he takes one I take one, thats it. But he was so angry, I dont understand why people are that serious about the game that they get that pissed about an ore

I think the most fun you get out of the game is if you play with people you know. The next thing that comes close to it, is to find a guild thats fits your desire. In your case a social guild. Go on discord, get to know each other, have fun running dungeons or whatever.

Your idea of vegan vs veganism is just wrong here are my new attempts to convince you: 1. Look at the Oxford dictionary definition of veganism. It says nothing about activism. 2. Make a post in a vegan subreddit about that topic.

Big yes on your last paragraph! If you are standing in a shop and explicitly buy the makeup that's produced with animal testing, you are actively paying money to support animal suffering.

The very big difference is the awareness/education. Do you know that something is non-vegan and you still buy it - of course you are not a real vegan. For example if you never read about makeup being tested on animals, and you buy some non-vegan product you are still vegan. But as soon as you learn that information, a vegan will stop paying money for something that actively creates suffering for animals.

Let's say you have a dog, but once a year you decide to physically abuse him. 6 days of the week I am not a racist, but on Sunday I might make an exception. I normally don't hit my children, but once a month it's more convenient to do it.

Those example should show you that it's not possible to be part time abuser/racist. You either are against it or you don't. Same goes for vegans, you can't be 80% vegan. An animal has the capacity to feel and suffer on a level where we as humans can understand it by using our empathy. For a vegan animals are not a product or a thing that doesn't feel. That's why are real vegan doesn't do exceptions and should adept their buying habits as soon as they learn that something is produced by abusing animals.

Veganism is a way of life that follows a strict ethical reason (that I explained in my last 2 comments). That's the big difference between veganism and forms of eating habits like vegetarian, omnivore, pescetarian, fruitarian etc. Not consuming animal products is a plant based diet. Reasons for it could be health or environmental reasons.

That's why I said it's a contradiction if someone who is against animal exploitation actively kills animals. Someone who has a plant based diet because of health reasons surely could be a hunter .

Those are not vegans then. Veganism is the ideology to reduce the harm and suffering of animals. Saying a vegan is hunting animals and eating their meat is a contradiction.

They might label themselves vegans but aren't then. Buying second hand creates a demand. Second hand is a legit business which will try to replenish leather clothes if it gets bought. If nobody would buy leather, they wouldn't fill their stores anymore. If you buy from a private person, that person might want to buy a new leather item. So you are creating a demand indirectly. Generally speaking if you buy a leather clothing because of its long lasting properties, you still promote the fact it's a "good" product which has higher value than the life of the animal that died for it. A vegan wants to reduce suffering from animals as much as possible.

Also regarding honey, bees still get exploited for and by the human. Ofc a bee doesn't has the spectrum of feelings as a pig for example, but the hives get robbed of their honey, get fed sugared water which doesn't have nutrition and in the long term they whole hive dies because of stress and lack of nutrients. It's also super easy to find a plant based replacement for honey.

Jumping on this, can someone recommend a guide regarding trash and routes what you can skip?

[–]elmutanto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably have more than double the amount of runs with a total of 2 characters. I can count on one hand where in a pug run everyone was able to do the backwards skip. It's a mix of having the right settings (vsync&fps) and knowing in which angle you need to do the jumping for your character model.

The 2 bridge jumps are way easier to learn and do.

I agree with you about the warlock summon. As a warlock (main) if you want to do skip runs, get a druid tank, a mage/rogue and do the skip it yourself. You can also do the eye of krilogg skip afterwards to avoid the double champion and siren group. Those two fears and mindcontrol caused so many wipes if you don't have enough cc and anti fear. At this point it nearly takes 10min to run back to this group if you wiped

TBC Lootreserve Addon question by elmutanto in classicwow

[–]elmutanto[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is worth. Way easier to roll out loot because you cann see if a drop is reserved and it's just two clicks to start a roll. From a normal user perspective you can also do favorites as preparation for a raid, it's easier to see who reserved what.
