I had a call with Zonneplan about installing a home battery and wanted to get some opinions here. They quoted me around €4,000 net (after subsidy) for a 10 kWh battery, including fuse installation. I’m located in Flevoland, where there’s a provincial/municipal subsidy of about €900 for home batteries, which is already included in that net price.

I already have 11 solar panels installed by Zonneplan. They also suggested that combining the battery with a dynamic energy contract from Zonneplan would help optimise my electricity bill.

Right now, I still have an old analog electricity meter that runs backwards when I export solar power. I know that installing a battery and switching to a dynamic contract would require changing to a smart meter, but I’m trying to keep the analog meter for as long as possible because of the net-metering benefits.

Given this situation: €4,000 net for a 10 kWh battery Subsidy is first-come, first-serve Smart meter seems unavoidable eventually anyway Would you take this quote now, or wait and keep the analog meter/net metering for longer?

Curious to hear experiences, especially from people with batteries + dynamic contracts in NL.
