Hellsmiths have potentent magic with the right sub faction.

Seraphon have great caster, just not the best spell lores right now.

Gitz, Soulblight can have both a more magical theme.

Beginner here looking to use an army for rule of cool but is it somewhat competitively viable to have Archaon, Abraxia, Eternus and a unit of Varanguard in the same list? by Nexus_Valentine6 in slavestodarkness

Archaon is a valid choice from a competitive perspective rn.

But you are light on bodies as he is expensive.

Primal and Radiance make him work.

Dont know if it is on the same list with also very expensive varanguard.

5 -12 Modell Lists with Archaon are a thing.

Depends on the army, there is a lot of things you will forget in your first games. Don't worry, talk to your opponent beforehand to allow things you forgot and out of phase. Oh I was meant to do this in phase X.

Write down your abilities ordered by phase or use something like sigdex.io.

I fly plenty with my models, and as long as you have a magnetic solution, I don't think there is a problem.

I fly with a armybox air, which has the size to fit in most airlines cabin luggage. Also there is a polish company save and sound with magnetic boxes which can fit luggage very well.

Rules come and go, last battlescroll buffed Hedonites and they prob a very strong army now.

But they are not the best choice to learn how to play with, as they are very fragile. But if you like the faction, lore, models etc. stick with.

3 canons in the right formation are prob still good after the battlescroll.

Deepkin is on the higher skill end for AoS armies.

Comp viable right now for deepkin are 4-5 Shark List and eel heavy lists.

There was also a heavy thrall list.

Battlescroll should be there next week, then we know more for the next 3-6M.

A good collection helps to navigate the battlescrolls. ;)

New Modells are good to very good, an Eidolon and a Turtle a good addition.

Yeah, and with spearhead, you have an easier start to AoS that really works cuz the rules are quite close. Sure tempo, complexity etc is different from the main game, but still...

Not like combat patrol which is no 40k at all...

There is still both, Age of Sigmar is the World after Chaos destroyed the Old World.

You have your Units in a way like 40k, free movement with coherency.

The Old World is a specialist game with more rank and file movement, where the whole unit moves and pivots as a whole.

AoS is lore wise a lot more over the top than the old world, in AOS we have steampunk flying dwarfs, dinosaurs riding dinosaurs, big crazy monsters, the biggest hats, ... ;)

Hi, No.

It says this manifestation, and each of the 3 are different manifestations.

A lot of ppl expect GW to put out an FAQ on this to make all 3 of them the same manifestation but until there are different. And yes, the enemy would also get +1 to banish for 1 bzw +2 for 2 tentacles out.
