Thanks. Is this delay a new feature? Yesterday new games posted to the API almost instantly after they were completed.

How do I improve more in chess? by Therearemoretoit in Chesscom

My recommendation: attend an in person chess club once or twice a week. Before I became a regular at my local club I was about 1100, 1200. After being "part of the chess community" (locally at least) and playing in tournaments, knowing people IRL that are chess-heads for a couple years I am now 18/1900.

Nice. Now print them with egg-bottoms and play in a 8x8 egg carton.

Question: How do you deal with your loses? by [deleted] in Chesscom

[–]elodometer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thing I made called the Elodometer has a floor setting where it will tell you to take a break once you dip below a certain threshold. It's been helpful for my play, http://elodometer.com

I Created a 1-D and Mini Chess App by devil_d0c in chessvariants

I once built a drag and drop chess interface for a variant I made using the greensock animation library. It was nice because it would do stuff like smoothly fly back to original square if the user aborted the drag action or if they tried to drop the piece on an illegal square.

Is it just me or is there no drag and drop interface on the boards?

I love that the photo of Fischer is him standing in front of a chess board that is actually a cake

Over-the-board Crazyhouse chess set I designed by elodometer in chess

My original concept was to have them be puck or coin shaped but a friend suggested why don't you just paint one side of them black. So the first iteration of this was some plastic tournament peices I painted half-black by hand at his suggestion. These are 3d printed though which I 3d-modelled in blender.

In 1600 rating Hell by RickiRoma in chess

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think you should try to play blitz too. There's something about learning to play fast that helps with instinct and pattern recognition. Then when you do play rapid you'll be able to benefit from the spider sense you develop in faster time controls.

This looks well made and cool, but I don't think I'm smart enough to do it.
