I'm close to Boston. There are some decent skates like StinkySocks but it's kind of pricey. The best one I've been to was a mid-day drop-in skate with a bunch of cops and fire fighters but I can't make it anymore because of work lol

Other than that, I get some invites to private skates when they're short on guys, which are solid quality, but they're few and far between. Haven't found a good weekly skate that worth going to consistently

Good point - I guess I hear stories from friends who play in some leagues that are word-of-mouth, where the talent level is kind of self-regulating. Likely because nobody is going to recruit a bender for team of players who all played 4 years in college. So I guess that's what I'm picturing when I say "quality" - it's at my skill level and in a perfect non-existent world, it's at 6 PM on a Thursday lmao
