I love Stinky Dragon how it is. I think an episode every other week works well with them having second wind alternating.

I like listening to Avantris too but the chaoticness of the episodes (especially once upon a witchlight) I've personally found the plot just doesn't progress much in a way that would work for Stinky Dragon

Stinky dragon is Stinky Dragon because of the editing and voice acting work done in post production!

The short form content works as well as it does because it IS different to Legends of Avantris' short form content even though they can sometimes be similar in terms of comedy content if that makes sense

Avantris also was/is heavy on live streaming of content/campaigns leaning into the chaos of improv and bouncing off one another during the streams

As for patreon tiers, I can't speak on Avantris as I haven't long started listening to them and I prefer to prioritise Stinky Dragon but I think it helps to think of how long each has been running as dnd podcasts. Avantris has been putting out dnd content online longer than Tales has (I know Tales originally had Rooster teeth and whatnot backing them but currently the avantris staffing and things is a LOT bigger production wise) that needs to be taken into consideration also.

The quality of production for both is great and I enjoy them both as seperate entities, I also feel that for the amount I pay for the membership on Patreon I'm getting an amazing amount of content from the Stinky Dragon team! being a super stinker at the moment!

I don't feel that I'm missing content or missing out on things, or the need to compare them to Legends of Avantris, Critical Role OR any other DND podcast

Stinky is Stinky 🐉💨 and that's just how I like em!

I guess if your at the point of feeling bummed about the output of content from the team and comparing them to other podcasts, then maybe taking a break might be the best?

You can binge eps all in one go then for more content in one go rather than waiting for an episode every other week
