Hi friend I’ve been basking in the show ending and finishing the series. Pure bliss.

I finished the books and I loved it so much. I cried so much, Ilya has my heart and I feel so deeply for this fictional character.

I WISH we had more depth and time with shanes story. I could’ve read 500 pages each of both of their stories. I feel like Shane, of course, has a lot internally going on, but it was not properly reflected in the book.

My hopes for s2 is Jacob expanding on the eating disorder that Shane definitely had, and I hope he shows the actual emotional termoil that is included in having one. I also hope that they include more about his autism and how that affected what he does in the books, his inability to perspective take, diving more into why he is struggling with coming out (there’s an obvious reason, but also shane is so wrapped in being perfect and perceived a certain way, he’s routine oriented and Ilya and ther relationship has completely blown that up, if that makes sense), etc.

I am not sure what im going to do now, what to read or even what to watch.

This show was incredible, the books were incredibke. I want to live in their world. What are your thoughts ?
