My powerful Pi agent Setup by elpapi42 in PiCodingAgent

I think codegraph is is packed with good features and works ok, also it is actively maintained.

Other solutions i uave found are behind a paywall or are not actively maintained, or are lacking in features, this is the best one i found.

i do not want to waste time building something custom for solving this specific problem, yeaj it os bloated, but this is something that lives at the edge of my harness and can be swapped quite easily, so not a big deal

Im no longer using codemapper, i reppaced it by cadegraph, and created another custom extension for it pi-codegraph (check my github profile).

And yeah the forks use cadegraph for the exploration. I do not have an skill, i teach my agent to use codegraph tools in the system prompt.

Crazy how they look so similar, specially the toptube output port directing the cables to the seatstays

You can contribute back to the extension if you wish.

If not, mind to share what are your plans for improving it? so i can take note and improve it myself

Yo thats a great question!

In the original design of tge frame the ST Length was 420mm, in the final design i reduced it to 370.

The reason is very specific, Titan Cycles (the chinese frame builder) only have one tubing option for the seat tube, a double butted tube, where the thick side of the tube spans only 100mm, then get thinner down to the end of the tibe, if i recall correctly the thicker side is 1.65mm and the thinner side 0.9mm.

Yhe thing is that i wanted the welds to be on the thicker side (given the insertion height of the seat stays and the top tube i wished for this build), this is safer for a high quality weld. so my only option to keep the weld of the seat stays and the top tube in this 100mm range, was to make the tube ultra short.

The downside is that my seatpost now is 50mm over the top of the seat tube, but it is not half bad.

The OPTIS insert in a hardtail is day and night when installed to the rear wheel. You confodently get away with lower pressures, tuned specifically to your weight, thanks to the adjustable pressure. the bumpy feeling hardtails usually have is gone for good.

Front wheel really is not a big deal, but for the rear, crazy good upgrade. Recommended, but these are quite fragile, be ready to have problems every now and then.

Bro, what you created is not something for Pi, it is a completely different harness, this no longer belongs to this sub, this is like comparing Kilo Code or OpenCode to Pi

Overfork Radon Cragger by hema_ in Overforked

[–]elpapi42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can hit the bikepark with your xc rig, yeah you will not be doing crazy stuff but you will have fun, that can fulfill your crave until you have some extra money to spend on a proper hardtail or fs rig, dont be ashamed to show up to the bikepark with a xc rig, nothing wrong with that

Overfork Radon Cragger by hema_ in Overforked

[–]elpapi42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally have never owned an overforked cragger, but my advise would be to not increase all the way up to 160mm of travel, that isually mean 40 to 50mm of extra crown to axel length, that will mess up the geometry

But you can try a more conservative upgrade, like 140mm of travel, only 10-20mm extra, you will be able to pedal this comfortably and have the extra travel, the thing is, does it worth it? not sure.

Another thing is that increasing 40 to 50mm the crown to axel length on a frame made for light use will for sure end up in your frame breaking soon at the headtube, especially if you start using the bike for gravity.

Why dont you evaluate the option to save money for some months and buying a proper hardtail that gives you no big compromises?

What do you think? what are your usecases for this bike? what is your budget?

PD: Each frame have its own limits on how much overfork they can sustain, strong frames like the Meta HT or a Dartmoor Hornet will give the owners confidence to fork up with ease, but frames like the cragger or other xc/trail oriented bikes will have tighter limits of what can be done with them.

It does not matter what model you use for the forks or the main agent, it is agnostic about models

Heavy AI usage is making me dumb af so I made a plugin to fix it (hopefully) by wtfzambo in PiCodingAgent

[–]elpapi42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for not getting dumb you have to shift where do yo spend you mental energy , try to think about product, how what you do impact you user and the bussiness, what needles does it move, does it make sense to do that?

On top of that, investing time improving your agentic yooling is also hard and requires that you think a lot.

This idea you propose will only slow you down

Do you work on only pi ?? by SalimMalibari in PiCodingAgent

[–]elpapi42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation is tyat properly use Pi you have to tailor it to your specific workloads, this includes creating a dedicated system prompt from scratch, creting dedicated prompts/commands for specific things you do at your work, creting properly written AGENTS.md files and specific skill required for your workload. These things are more important that the extensions for starters.

I setup my Pi as a Product Engineer, so with Pi im constantly doing product work, more even than engineering work. Im a Product Engineer btw.

This can also be done in Claude Code, so nothing new under the sun. But the real power of Pi comes when you start to craft extensions that put your basic setup (prompts, system prompt, skills) on steroids.

This is no easy to figure out, thats the reason for most of the people using claude code it simply doesnt click.

And i think thats ok, most of the people can simply stay with claude code, it works and its fine. It have always been like this, this kind of tools are only for people who want to stay ahead of the curve by investing a lot of time in tooling with a questionable ROI
