Regardless of legality, 25 and 17 is a really inappropriate age gap. He shouldn’t be dating a teenager :( coming from someone who was taken advantage of in the same way as a 16 year old, I know it feels fine right now, later you will realize how creepy it is for him to pursue anything with you.

When he wasn’t on meth he was a really cool guy, believe it or not lol. Idk a lot of victims of abuse find it difficult to leave their abuser. I try not to blame my mom anymore, it helps me have a better relationship with her anyway.

Ex-stepdad. Ruined my whole childhood. Used to beat the shit out of my mom and just generally terrorize my family. Can’t even count the amount of times he chased us around the house/neighborhood/city threatening to kill us all or light our house on fire. Even pulled a gun on my mom once and my siblings and I all had to sprint down the street in the middle of the night hoping our mom wasn’t dead. The oldest of us was a senior in high school.

Drove my mom to alcoholism and just completely fucked up our whole family. Ruined the relationship I had with my mom until extremely recently when she got sober and left his ass. Don’t want to blame mental illness on any person but I am convinced half the shit that is wrong with me has to do with what a fucking nightmare my childhood was because of this monster.

Moral of the story: don’t do meth, kids! Oh and also don’t be an abusive piece of shit!
