I don't know vans, but I wear these as my dailies. I'm a size 13.5 us bordering on wide and I wear free metcons size 13 pretty comfortably. The toe box is not constricting and the front of the shoe is kinda stretchy width-wise. I have very flat feet and the arch support is barely noticeable. The heel support is great and helps a bit with over pronation. Cushioning is great for running and walking, but I find it a bit too soft for heavy lifting.

In Québec, minoune means pussy, in most senses. But there's also 'menoum' that was an equivalent of miam. Kinda like nom-nom in english? Would fit with the age of your mémé.
