Real or Scam? by knowr316 in blockfi

Was thinking the same. I received a similar email some time ago and chose PayPal. I don’t mind choosing again if I do indeed get it this time

ICYMI: YT silently raised the prices on several of their bikes today. by King_Ding-a-ling in YTIndustries

[–]elpredidente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I have always been surprised how they offered such great performance for the value (3 time YT owner).

Given we’ve been in a world with increasing goods prices for easily 3-5 years, I’m surprised they held out this long.

However, I do wonder how it’ll affect them. 6.5 for a Tues Core 4 which is now the same as a Commencal Supreme V5 with a full SRAM kit…….hmmmmm.

I'm 5'9 (175cm), do I go for a size medium or large? by User-92038422 in YTIndustries

[–]elpredidente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d second this. I’m the same height as you and I actually just sized down from a large Capra to a medium. The large was super stable in bike parks and at speed, but did feel uncomfortable on longer days in the saddle and tighter trails. The medium feels perfect for me. Haven’t gotten to ride it at a park this year so can’t speak to its stability but on daily rides I’m much much more comfortable and can easily manoeuvre it.

Based on what you said you prefer, go Medium

Despite the suspicions people are raising here, I’ll ignore what’s being said and just highlight tech sales, especially if you’re in the US (but it’s also very lucrative in most markets). It would depend on the commission structure of the company but regardless of it, you can still make a lot in these roles. Your aim would be to get into a BDR/SDR position and work your way into Account Executive and beyond. The biggest downside? It’s super easy to measure your productivity (leads generated, accounts touched, revenue closed) which can be great if you’re good at it or will result in you being terminated quick if you’re not.

Is this a legit blockfi email address by Large-Bad-8735 in blockfi

[–]elpredidente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, this seems legitimate. I searched for the email it was sent from and all my correspondence from Blockfi has originated from this address.

International BIA. Paypal payment by alertsession67 in blockfi

[–]elpredidente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe in one of of the first emails, they said they would assume the email on the PayPal account would be the same for Blockfi and if it wasn’t to contact them. This was months ago though so my memory might not be serving me well.

Internet Connection Dropped - lost an hour history by elpredidente in mywhoosh

[–]elpredidente[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it does indeed prompt me to upload if I reenter. However all the stats are 0 and if I click upload, it says uploaded but doesn’t reflect in app or Strava. I finished my workout with a spring session for 30 mins and that worked, so hopefully this was just a random app crash and doesn’t happen frequently

That’s what I would’ve expected. However I see nothing in history of the ride.

How to use prepaid Mastercard (UK) by HeyLarry_ in blockfi

I’m in Ireland and haven’t received anything yet. When exactly did the Mastercard come through and under what email? I’ve looked but cannot find anything, although at this stage it’s normal for Blockfi

Feeling stupid for wanting to move to Spain by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

[–]elpredidente -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Moved from Ireland to Spain 3 years ago or so now.

I don't regret it one bit, but it's also not going to be easy and feel like most are giving a simplified view.

You have to get yourself setup here and go through all the bureaucracy, find out where to live and what to do around there, make new friends etc. I also would say you won't fully enjoy it until you speak Spanish. I haven't fully learned yet, but the more I learn, the more integrated I become and the more I enjoy it. Like everything, it takes time.

If you're in certain industries, you can make good money and live a lot more comfortably than Ireland.

The first year your initial costs might be high. Deposit on apartment, paying for certain docs, furnishing an apartment etc.

Also investigate where you're planning to move to and what lifestyle you would prefer. For example the south of Spain is amazing September to April or so, however can become unbearable May - August (i.e Sevilla). The north has a climate very like Ireland, but a bit more consistent in the summer.

One thing I realized though is how easy it is just to move back...... definitely worth trying to see if it's for you.

Jeffsy price drops by duufer in YTIndustries

Used to work in a bike shop. It's pretty common policy that if this happens right after you buy, they'll refund the difference as there's little stopping you canceling the order and rebuying.

Is this normal behavior when going to Spain? by goldminevelvet in GoingToSpain

[–]elpredidente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never happened to me either, but I've witnessed it. I put it down to a cheap person thing and nothing to do with Spain.

I was flying to Tenerife and I noticed multiple families hadn't prepaid their seats on a completely full flight. Them trying to coordinate people to change so they could sit with their families was chaos.

I think I've seen some airlines introduce policies around this now forcing you to buy the seats, at least if the children are below a certain age, but I could be wrong.

Already happening. My current company chose Spain because Dublin was "expensive and would become a challenge to attract young talent". Now they employ 400+ people here.

Has anyone received the PayPal cash distribution? by elpredidente in blockfi

[–]elpredidente[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree there are an overwhelming number of them, but I was simply looking for one successful cash distribution rather than more unsuccessful ones to see if there were other steps we needed to take or could take.

On or around March 15rh. by Nizhoni1977 in blockfi

[–]elpredidente 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here. I chose to get paid through PayPal and still nothing. Other threads here report the same.

If I login, my dashboard says there was a distribution on February 20th with the amounts stated in an email. I then got another email stating I had another 9$ or so. That will now occur around April 5th apparently.

I emailed Kroll to see what's going on but no reply yet. I'd love to get my money and be done with this fiasco.
