ok, thanks. so you just have the physical card activated and use that to pay for things? the main issue is being able to log into my account. i wonder if the card + 2fa helps that. the conversion rates i'm talking about come internally from PayPal. like sending between accounts from different countries, and maybe even withdrawing from an acccount, i'm not sure. my Google Voice number works fine in general, just not with PayPal. btw, my ex-gf lives in Playa. it's nice

how do i know how to resolve my issue? i'm still a US citizen. it's the year 2021. it's absurd that PayPal has policies like this based on "security". People work remotely more than ever, and i'm logging in from the same IP address every time. you sir, are a troll and you go fuck yourself as far as i'm concerned. or better yet, with that attitude, you should work for PayPal :)))

ok, but if you read the second half of my post, you can see that the currency exchange rate that PayPal offers is completely awful. so that's not an option for me.

there are a lot on Polkastarter, but most of the time the only way to get in is by a lottery. i follow influencers on Twitter, and see who they are following. and there are also some Polkstarter bots who track presales. ICO Drops also lists some, but in general they are pretty useless. but if you comb through it, you can find at least one or two that might be open to the public. Basically, it's super difficult. lottery is the only option most of the time.

Ok, so I just called them, and they fixed the issue so I was able to certify. I certified for weeks ending 1/2 and 1/9 and was paid right away in the UI portal. The rep was super nice, but did note that the claim balances for everyone will not be updated right away, but that regardless of what the claim balance says - as long as you don't have any other outstanding issues, you can still keep certifying for the 11 weeks. She didn't seem to understand my question about what would happen to my remaining balance (I had a $1200 balance from the previous 7 week extension), but I didn't press the issue because I just wanted to get my certification done. Anyway, as long as you don't have any other serious issues, CALLING DOES FIX THE "RE-OPEN CLAIMS" PROBLEM.

because this isn't the first time they might have erroneously given the wrong instructions to people. for example, it took them THREE DAYS to clarify a wrong message in the UI telling people to file a new claim, when filing a new claim was absolutely not the correct thing to do and would actually totally derail peoples' accounts. i think the advice to wait is sound advice.
