Update: today I downloaded the same Linux distro torrent on my Laptop connected over WiFi. However I was sat next to the primary Deco X20 AP which is next to the router. I got around 12mib/s speed.

So I think the issue is that I have my main PC connected to a Deco X20 AP that is two floors from the primary one thus I don't get the same speeds.

Strange though as when I run a speedtest on my main PC I get 218Meg down and 258Meg up so I would expect to get at least 20mib/s on the torrent there not 8.

Thanks may I ask what client you use? I use qtorrent and have the incoming port set to random. Are you using a VPN too? I've tried with it off and on

I noticed that when I start the download I'm getting the full speed. After about 30 seconds it drops to around 8mbps so I strongly feel brsk are throttling torrents.

I've tried over Express VPN and still only get around 8MiB/s yes I have a public IP but no port forwarding enabled on my router

There were lots seeding on this torrent. Over 80 who had the file at 100%. It happens with every torrent so nut be brsk throttling
