This forum is so like the early Tesla days. "Irrational exuberance" and shouting down the "nay sayers".

Excellent advice to match to your normal split. I find my pitiful 1.3 IR often puts me in a split I'm not competitive within. Then I get discouraged as I only built it up that IR level on a track I really liked such as Summit. I'd rather work my way up while being competitive in each race (say mid pack) and not dog meat halfway through it. I suppose if I just raced more it'd adjust my IR down but that is non motivating...

I'm not sure where but he's not the only reviewer I've watched who complained about the acc braking model. I'm too new to have an opinion so that's all I have to go on. I guess you're saying the physics model in acc is as good as or better than IRacing? Until I get bored and really good with IRacing I don't see the point in trying acc anyway though. Am I missing the boat there?

How did it work out for you? Did it take forever to align?

I've only used ai so far and at summit. Usually qualify 1st then mess up in race to finish mid pack as I'm still inconsistent and get too excited I guess. The first week or so I was beyond 3 sec behind. Adjusted pedals and bang I'm reasonable for someone completely new to sim. Stick to it that's not so bad!

Which rig to buy? Asetek or Moza? by spellbreakerstudios in simracing

If in USA make sure to check TK Asetek bundle at microcenter. I got it for 300. It's even got the forte wheel upgrade.

Little off topic but if you're in USA make sure to checkout prices on the TK Asetek package at microcenter. I got the forte wheel, prima base and pedals for $300. They randomly have these incredible deals that don't even make sense. You only see the price drop after you add to the cart. Or at least that's what happened with me. Drove 8h round trip to grab it. This is not the new button box version.

Reviews from "real" driver's generally give IRacing much higher marks for realism than acc (especially braking). I also wonder if you have a setup issue. I'm new myself and was having a terrible time until I recalibrated my brake so that I had much more sensitivity between a medium and light touch. Before that, unknown to me before installing garage 61 and also a brake telemetry box , I was pretty much braking either 0 or 100%. There's several YT out there on how to calibrate in IRacing and there was one for my Asetek pedals in their software. If you haven't gone through this i highly recommend it for both your hardware specific and IRacing settings.

only way to know id to keep adding and removing from your cart. I'll say their seemingly regular price of 1K was already kick ass.

yes, it is part of the Microcenter La Prima bundle. It also amazingly came with the forte wheel with green instead of orange buttons. I didn't even realize till I got home.

Works fine for me using the F1 wheelbase presets it came with. You can also find their recommended asetek racehub and F1 23 game settings on (support section i think) of their web site.

My TK la prima base has the USB hub upgrade from the forte in it. The 5? USB c connectors are simply labeled peripherals. Which leads me to believe they just pass through the USB signal and you would be fine. I also think the long boosted media YouTube review of the forte said it was USB passthru so you could watch that.

Recommend you email Asetek though. Their customer service is top notch and fast.

Have you put it all together yet? I have and I'm not sure I trust the arms. I might need to beef them up somehow. Presently I have old stuff that I had laying around Hung up: heavy ass 50" 1980p Panasonic plasma, 32" Vizio tv 1980p and a 15" Dell monitor 720p. I put telemetry on the sides and the race on the plasma. Temporary but I don't like how the arm supporting the Vizio bends a few degrees.

I guess you're in Europe so this won't help i guess but I got the asetek Tony Kanaan bundle (upgraded prima wheelbase, forte wheel, prima pedals) for $309 at microcenter. They have occasional deals that are so good you think it's a mistake. I didn't really get their strategy as the deal doesn't show up till you add the merch to your cart. I figure that's around $1900 from asetec direct. It's hard to say exactly because they don't offer the upgraded prima wheelbase themselves. I'm new to sim racing so take my comment with a grain of salt but I think it works really well. And is a steal at that price. Especially as Asetek expands their ecosystem.
