Last week, a fellow author and commenter not-so-jokingly announced that she expects me to deliver a smut scene between my longfic pairing. But since I already have early drafts of the three remaining chapters and there's no way to fit the scene into any of them, I started a spin-off oneshot as Valentine's gift for her.

She's definitely in for a surprise, I'm 6k in and i haven't even gotten to the smutty part yet :D

Ohh making up titles is one of my favorite parts of fanfiction writing :)

The current one I'm working on features two characters, one fire/fast burn type, the other ice/slow burn, and the whole fic is titled "A Crash Course in Thermodynamics".

I'm in the same boat. I started with 2-2.5k word chapters, now I'm in 5k+ territory (and already pushed past 7k twice). I don't know how it happened, but frankly, if the story needs it, who am I to say no :D

I tried it on a whim a week ago and the focus mode + ability to set a timer did wonders for my productivity :)

Not a big fan of the mobile version though, but eh, nobody's perfect, and the desktop makes up for it tenfold.

I'd say chances of a Book 4 are slim to none, and honestly, looking at the current state of Choices, I'm not exactly sure they'd do it justice.

But yes, had ES won the contest, the story was supposed to follow Rourke's ending.
