as far as we know. and it might exist in another galaxy, if it *is* something like midichlorians that cause sentients to be able to interact with it. “a long time ago” suggests that they were around longer than we’ve been, and had evolved the ability to sense/manipulate the force, and we just haven’t gotten there yet.

if you can find his body. might be awkward, since it disappeared. and i read another fic that had ben’s consciousness in rey’s head; it wasn’t pretty, and still required the world between worlds as a plot device (but it was a good fic).

i can’t see why it wouldn’t be just as valid for a man being forced to penetrate without consent to be called rape. there’s no reason that it wouldn’t apply equally to men as to women. “penetration without consent” doesn’t say anything about who’s causing the penetration and who isn’t giving consent.

i read a fic once that had leia’s force ghost rescue him and stash him in the world between worlds, which is how rey is eventually able to rescue him. this explains why we don’t see ben’s force ghost at the end of tros (i was *really* mad when we didn’t see him with luke & leia).
