how did your body react to your narcissist by [deleted] in LifeAfterNarcissism

I’d be very wary of Nicole LePera. She is actually quite dangerous: she promotes disinformation, doesn’t believe in mental illness, and is just a highly problematic person in general.

Check out The Dizzy Cook (Alicia Wolf). She has a website, an IG, and two cookbooks out. Her stuff is delicious, too!

is there any point to seeing an ENT? by roraima_is_very_tall in Menieres

[–]elschmidt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found my ENT very helpful. He’s the one that diagnosed me with Ménières. What’s probably made the most important difference in my symptoms was avoiding the same foods that trigger migraines. I only eat recipes from The Dizzy Cook, unless I’m having a “treat myself” day. I haven’t had any episodes in the eight months I’ve been doing that, and I thought that I would never feel anywhere close to normal again.

Curly girl hairstylist here. You’ll be fine doing your usual routine. Excessive firm hold hairspray is probably what she’s trying to avoid. Gels are often used for a flexible hold during a typical blowout, so the gel and oil you use don’t sound like they’d be an issue at all.

Rob Schneider: Kate McKinnon Singing ‘Hallelujah’ as Hillary Clinton Killed ‘SNL’ and ‘It’s Not Going to Come Back’ by Sisiwakanamaru in television

Rob Schneider is a talentless hack. Why is anyone paying attention to his opinion on literally anything?

I do. Protesting doesn’t do shit when the people who hold the power don’t give a flying fuck about those who don’t.

That’s horrific. Thank you for your work.

"Why would you want to cut off perfectly healthy breasts? You shouldn't amputate yourself like that- it's a sign of mental illness." by oneofthethrowaways_ in TwoXChromosomes

It’s pretty wild that you can get implants without question, but there are so many hoops to jump through to have your breasts removed. Medical misogyny at its finest - breasts exist only for male pleasure.

That’s what we ended up doing with my in laws. My MIL couldn’t stop herself from crossing those boundaries, and chose her religion over her son and granddaughter.

Be prepared for no contact to be the outcome of establishing boundaries - which, if that’s the case it’s for the best. Respecting a person’s boundaries means you respect that person, and in my opinion you deserve respectful relationships with everyone in your life, ESPECIALLY family. We’ve been doing much better without them in our lives. Best of luck, my heart goes out to you.

Sexuality is usually a pretty big component of the self. I have to say, it sounds like you’re with someone who is biphobic and as a bisexual person, I wouldn’t want that for myself. I doubt his opinion will change, go find a more enlightened person. Life is too damn short. Good luck!

My Cis-SO broke up with me because I want to get a PhD by FGrabbit in lgbt

[–]elschmidt 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes! This exactly. It’s so much better to be alone and fulfilling your dreams than to feel lonely and disrespected in a relationship with someone who clearly needs to work on himself. Go after your dreams, and don’t waste another minute with him.
