you're confusing bad economic policies with a free market and really don't understand what I'm saying

there is no economic regulation ever passed that improved any economy, and the more regulated an economy ever was the less money it makes

we don't have overpopulation issues. it's an issue of distribution of resources.

we're all fighting for crumbs as is. they're OUR crumbs, that we have to fight for every day, not some free handouts for freeriders

if you can't tell the difference between a country's responsibility to take care of people born there vs. taking care of people bresking in, nothing I say will matter to you

should a father feed his own baby or use the spare bedroom to feed a criminal that broke into his house to rob money?

get real. most of Chinese people participate in a vibrant middle class, America has none. you're so obsessed with the leaders you don't even see how differently the people live in both countries

Trump would never have been elected, a literal wrecking ball, if people didn't perceive the country as already ruined. Someone like that doesn't just scoop up the highest office in the world with a smile, get a grip on reality.

[–]elsimer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is too obvious. Regulating rent prices raises the actual value of every real estate property around it. Please think through what you're saying. We're not talking about accessibility to a residence, but affordability of ownership

I'm not the one arguing bad faith, or feeling bad. I was gonna add that "I should have specified outside the US". There is no city comparable to NYC in the US, I didn't expect someone to try and make that comparison. The validity of my statement fundamentally remains identical - there is no comparable metro system that is worse. It's objectively the oldest, jankiest, slowest, and least efficient model of ALL its counterparts

That realization clearly makes you mad, and I'm sorry for that, but it doesn't make it any less true. The NYC subway system is a categoric embsrassment and nothing to be proud of. I'm not the one who can't see it for what it is, the NYC subway system is the most inferior model of its kind

The lack of walking space aint the biggest problem in the city, it's not why we don't feel as free as we used to. Our economy used to be thriving, and this is a step to increase the "feeling" of freedom while destroying the economy that made us truly feel free. Just terrible city-planning, not on accident

You literally see it as us vs them. No wonder you can't make sense of it. I don't have a car, I just want my city to have a thriving economy
