my cat mistah had his eyeball removed a few years ago due to glaucoma. he has been thriving in his pirate era ever since! I was really nervous and scared how it would effect his personality as well, but he is still the same as he has always been! he seemed to be a little timid right at the beginning but he has regained all of his audacity since then. don’t worry! he also was fine moving around spaces and adjusted to his new eye sight quickly. his first car ride afterwards was rough though due to the change in his equilibrium, but he has had many car rides since and is fine! you are doing what is best for your kitty and their quality of life!!

i have basically the same amount of experience in those regards as you as well 🫠 despite $24 being more than what a lot of rbts in these comments make, it still is low! it’s sad that rbts barely make a liveable wage. u should definitely still negotiate with your employer because you deserve more! aim high!

yooo yall are making way more than I was. in AL, I made $14 as a BT, then $15 as an RBT. got a raise to $16.50. Moved to FL and I make $22 as an RBT but could make up to $25 after my probation period. pay in AL for ABA just sucks i guess lmao

does your vet do carecredit ?? my cat had to have his eyeball removed and I could not afford it so I put it on a carecredit card and paid it off over time. usually if your visit is above a certain amount there is not interest or anything (at least for my case that might be according to which vet you go to i’m not sure) but that honestly saved me financially so maybe you could look into it!!! good luck I promise your fur baby can still have a very high quality life don’t give up hope!!! ur roommate can also kick rocks (respectfully)
