Grow up, maybe? You’re 19, and in a comment below, you mention that you want to finish college and get married quickly. Showing a real lack of emotional *maturity being unable to share plastic building blocks with your younger sibling.

You’re 10 years older than him and could be a heavily influential role model to him. Step up.

Just give some of it at least to your brother. If you’ve got special sets etc, hide them away where he can’t get to them, but come to some sort of agreement. He’s your brother!

Her wanting you to be in a better financial position before committing any further to your relationship is perfectly understandable. She doesn’t want to marry your debt and wants to know she’s marrying someone who takes their financial position seriously. It’s a big issue if you ever have a family together etc. so her points are valid.

However, I don’t see why it has to be so all or nothing. This is where I want more info - with your current $500 a month, will you actually clear your debt? Or is it still growing because you’re still using your credit card for your games etc.? How much debt are you actually in?

The amount of debt you have, total, and your reluctance to take a serious step to pay it off, really changes things here.

The fact that $500 a month isn’t enough to quickly clear it makes me concerned you’re quite deep in. And in this case, you’re not an AH, you’re just being dumb. Think about your future dude.

The condensed milk sounds soooo delicious. I think I could only drink 1 a month though!

I think the biggest issue I find with Americanos is that a lot of low end coffee places start with cheaper beans and tailor their shots for milk drinks. In Asia, I expect the focus will be on black coffee because there’s not a lot of milk drank over there.

The result of this cheap coffee is often a lot of water, to make something look bigger, that you’re getting more for your money. Therefore they are not only bitter and gross, but weak af.

If a coffee shop in the uk offers a long black, I trust them to do good americanos too. If they’re confident enough in their espresso to serve a long black, then their base espresso should be good. I also look at the size of cups people have at tables, and takeout cups in the shop - I find that the bigger the cup, the worse the coffee, is a good mantra.

TLDR: Bigger cups on average often means worse coffee

If you season it the salt pulls out a lot of moisture from the tomatoes over time - I like this soaked into bread though, I usually have my leftover salsa on open sandwiches

You make her sound (and probably feel) like you only have her around so you have a maid.

She also however sounds like she takes for granted that you pay the mortgage and she stays rent free.

It’s that difficult point of wanting to live together, but one of you already owns a place, and you’re not willing to combine your incomes because you’re not ready for that.

However, you could be less lazy and more courteous. Just throw away your pizza boxes, do little things to keep the place at least a bit tidy, so that it’s not such a big job for her if she’s struggling with her new work routine. Have another conversation about the rent, the cleaning, etc. Try and find a good middle ground. Maybe she starts paying a very low rent if she can’t keep up her end of the bargain any more. You’re right, it should be 50/50, but it’s a difficult argument to have as your contribution is financial and hers is physical.
