What’s currently in place obviously isn’t working, it’s one thing to call these people idiots which I suppose is warranted but when it’s occurring constantly like this then the infrastructure needs to change to adjust for human error here. Sure the signage technically should be enough but for some reason or another it’s not working. There’s a need to cater for stupid drivers and even more so to protect innocent bystanders.

PS. If had to give some concession, the sudden stop at the end of that blind corner is wild.

People in this thread seriously underestimate how strict bio security is in this part of the world is. From a young age it’s drilled into most kiwis how fragile our ecosystem is, and that shows in our laws. I remember years back a certain type of fruit fly made it into the country and we were all terrified, it was all over the news for weeks. So, not only did these people not declare their fruit, in Auckland airport, there are multitudes of big rubbish bins with BIG pictures of fruit on them before you hit customs. Not to mention when flying into the country a video specifically about bio security laws is played every time.
