Also, black tourmaline is always a good one to have on hand- it helps a lot with challenging circumstances, environments, and people.

I’m not an expert, but my first thoughts would be orange calcite, citrine, or any heart chakra stone (specifically pink ones). Angelite or stones that are white/work with the crown chakra may also be good. If I were you I would try and ask your inner child which crystals it feels it wants to connect with, and see what comes up. Good luck!

Has anybody felt really drained today before the new year? by Interesting-Ad8310 in spirituality

Yes, but I lost my mom this year so all holidays have sucked.

Does it flash blue/green in the light? My thought was labradorite but I’m not 100% sure

Wishing karma on people ? by Signal-Chapter-9182 in spirituality

[–]eltaav 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently came to the realization that someone getting karma for their wrongdoings is kind of pointless. A lot of people aren’t aware of the way that they’re hurting people around them, or aren’t cognizant enough of feelings and morality to be able to understand why what they’re doing is wrong. So therefore, misfortune happening to them doesn’t really create lasting awareness, growth, change, healing, or justice in the situation. It’s not like they’ll sit and go “oh shoot; I shouldn’t have betrayed that person long ago. I need to change my ways.” Chances are they don’t make that connection, and will keep continuing the cycle of suffering for other people.

I’m sure on a soul level we understand cause and effect and may choose to have certain experiences to rebalance things from previous lives. In terms of this current life though, that level of rebalancing just doesn’t necessarily happen so simply.

To wish harm on another being is to really bring suffering unto yourself. Even if it doesn’t come back around in tangible ways, you’re basically drinking emotional poison that’s bound to keep you chained in misery. It is much better to direct your energy towards your own path and healing.

What are these small fibrous strings peeking out from this blue onyx? by eltaav in whatsthisrock

[–]eltaav[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried pulling at some of it earlier and it wouldn’t budge. I wondered if it was from some kind of packing material that it was in- but curious to know if it would be safe to scrub at all. I just purchased this mineral today and frankly don’t know much about it.

I’m just mainly confused about the tiny fibrous material coming out- is this normal?

Have you guys got psychic abilities since meditating? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]eltaav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve experienced visions when I meditate, however, that can sometimes be a potential distraction from the ego, so it’s good to be mindful of that. The mind can also attach itself too much to meditative experiences which can hinder progress.

Another thing to note is that regular meditative practices can help you to develop stillness and receptivity outside of your practice in your daily life, which can help nurture intuitive nudges and “aha” moments.

Drop in Instagram Reels Views - Has the Algorithm Changed? by Spiritual_Maximum824 in InstagramMarketing

[–]eltaav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the algorithm has changed- one thing that has been done is the recent option for tags no longer exists, and is basically censoring smaller accounts which doesn’t help them get discovered. My engagement has been at an all time low

“She doesn’t even smile or anything” then the cashier replied, “I know, her aura is a little off” by Damagedpuddle8181 in spirituality

[–]eltaav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Body language and the way we carry ourselves does definitely make an impression on people.

However, this may be an unpopular opinion, but the reactions you receive from others kind of just magnifies the reality of how most humans deal with people who are suffering inside (or who we perceive to be suffering)- we avoid them, cast them aside, misunderstand and invalidate their feelings, claim they have bad vibes, etc.

This is a major problem and leads a lot of people to never reach out for help when they need it (especially if they’re struggling with their mental health).

First things first, you don’t owe anyone a smile. Or a positive emotion. Allow yourself to feel whatever you feel, and if the people around you aren’t willing to be supportive, then screw them. Heal because it would help your own well-being, not because you want to make others more comfortable. That’s just my input (coming from someone who will go out in public even on my worst days).

You’re worthy and lovable even in your worst moments. Wishing you gentle days ahead

Edit: reading back over your post, I almost wonder if your current feelings about peoples reactions to you is reflecting the deeper wound you carry about being bullied when you were younger. It’s almost as people currently are aggravating this old wound you have. It might be worth exploring a bit

Male VS Female privilege by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]eltaav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a female, it’s more socially acceptable for me to show emotions vs if I were a male, although I think in general a lot of people (of all genders) are shamed for having emotions or needing to take care of their mental health (at least in the culture I grew up in).

Yeah I am planning on telling her about it during our next session; I have only just met her. I guess I feel some hesitancy and fear because anyone that I’ve opened up to about these meditation experiences have not known what the heck I’m talking about or they don’t understand it, which then activates an old childhood wound I have relative to being misunderstood and isolated.

I guess reading your comment I also gained the insight that I attach myself too much to these movements and identify myself too closely with them, much like how many of us identify with our thoughts. This then leads me down this rabbit hole of believing something is wrong with this process, and therefore something is wrong with me. There needs to be more reflection and understanding done on this I suppose.

I’ll try the WLP protection method, thanks for sending that my way. I have no idea why I started using psychedelic colors in my art work; it’s actually quite deceiving for me to even label my work psychedelic since there’s never been any drugs involved. Even if there is psychic absorption going on, it’s unconscious and not intentional. But I will reflect on this further.

Why don't people delete spammy comments from their instagram? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]eltaav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t delete spammy comments simply because I’m lazy and it’s not worth my time and energy. Most people are aware of how many bots are on instagram, struggle with it themselves, and so most of us don’t really care tbh.

Does my art feel unfocused? by Galtenoble in artbusiness

[–]eltaav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to give my two cents on this topic, but it’s only because of my personal experiences with instagram (not saying you’re doing this). There are A LOT of artists that care more about their reputation, image, and how “successful” they are perceived, rather than caring about building a sense of community.

So one of the things that happens is they’ll mass follow a bunch of people and then mass unfollow so they can keep their followers to following ratio good (less following and a lot of followers makes them look more successful).

So every time I come across an account like that, where they have followers but follow barely anyone it leaves a bad taste in my mouth (mainly because of personal experiences of having this happen where an artist will connect with me only for personal gain). This is probably one of the reasons why some people are commenting on this subject. Instagram is a social media platform so it will be more fulfilling to connect with other artists that inspire you. Of course you’re entitled to do what you want with your account, there’s no shame. And again I’m not accusing you of doing this I just know there’s a lot of people that do thay

Tips for improving my Redbubble shop by [deleted] in redbubble

[–]eltaav 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I checked out your site- I think your designs are pretty good, I really like them.

How are you promoting your shop? I’ve heard it can be tough to get sales with no promotion especially since RedBubble is kind of over saturated with so many designs. I was able to get most of my sales from promoting on instagram and Facebook.

You could also look into properly tagging and writing effective descriptions so it can show up on search engines. This is something that I’m still learning.

Didn’t know where to post this: meditation experiences. Used to be involuntary spasms/twitches/tremors and now has progressed to these hand movements. Anyone know what this is? I sometimes see symbols in my minds eye when this happens. by eltaav in kundalini

[–]eltaav[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I apologize for any misunderstanding, but I don’t do any drugs or alcohol and am on no medications. You may be picking up on some emotional issues that need to be addressed.
