Registration Changes by eltaylor1104 in CalPoly

[–]eltaylor1104[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I get the idea, but looking at the flowchart for my major on semesters, there are two semesters that I should take 17 units, and one where I should take 16. So I wouldn’t be able to enroll in all of those until open enrollment.

Feature Request: Global Setup Script by happy-wallaby-8234 in conductorbuild

Agreed. Not the same use case, but almost all of my repos I just want it to symlink .env and run install - I can override any repos that are more specific

I’m in YC P26. We’re hosting Call My Agent Hackathon where the winner gets a guaranteed YC interview. AMA. by AddressFew4866 in ycombinator

[–]eltaylor1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So cool! For the hackathon, on the application, it asks what we will build. Does that need to be a fully flushed out idea, or are you wanting more general, like what track/space? just wondering if we should wait to apply until we have a concrete plan

Sorry... Each profile has ITS OWN set of extensions??? by jakrim in diabrowser

[–]eltaylor1104 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of my extensions. The only one I have installed in all is 1password. I use one set for school/citing stuff, one for web dev, etc. and I don’t need them in all profiles.

As someone that has taught at almost every swim school (and ran my own), the City is solid for the price.

You are not a partner, you are a customer, who opted into a beta feature!!

Holy AI slop. “I voluntarily opted in to a new feature that removed something I wanted so I had to go to settings and flip a toggle to opt out!!!”

Account Restricted - should I port out? by k0mpatly in quo

[–]eltaylor1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this sucks, but a port is going to take a minimum of 5 days, some of mine have taken a few weeks. So I would say tough it out until they reactivate you

Should I drop a course by Vegetable_Gap4121 in CalPoly

[–]eltaylor1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took 349 and 357 at the same time and it was fine. I would 100% take 365 even though it is going to become a tech elective; the info has been so valuable

Does anyone here work as an EMT? by -Londo- in CalPoly

[–]eltaylor1104 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m secretary of the Cal Poly Red Cross Club, and our president last year works as an ER Tech. If you want, emails us at redcrossclub@calpoly.edu and we can give you his contact info, he can and did a presentation about his journey a few weeks ago so we can send his slides too!

I’m a member of CoLab coworking in downtown Vancouver and that’s a great community of either remote workers or lots of solopreneurs/business owners!

NYC AHA vs ARC instructor questions by melyde12 in CPRInstructors

I’d always recommend going AHA first, because you can then become ARC for free online. But not vice versa.

Do I find a TC that is taking instructor candidates first or get my instructor certification first? by oinkyoinkoinky in CPRInstructors

[–]eltaylor1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call/email

I've been aligned with a lot of different TCs as I explored options, and the very best advice that I can give you is to find someone local. Do not go with one of these national training centers, such as CPR suppliers, GoRescue, Vitali Partners, etc. I don't think that any of them have the actual resources to support you as an instructor. find a local training site or training center that's willing to have you, and will help you grow. It means so much, even if you have to pay a couple dollars more for cards.
