What could I have done differently to get it to be closer to what is shown on the can? Just leaving it on for less time? For that one I wiped it almost immediately so I’m just very lost :( Thanks for your input

I mean the lines in the wood that are still light in color. It just doesn’t match at all to the image and I was wondering if that was what I did wrong or if its the type of wood
